201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto at Risk Due to Malware on: October 01, 2019, 11:30:51 PM

The Juniper Threat Labs group says “Masad Stealer sends the majority of the data it gathers [through] a Telegram bot constrained by the risk on-screen character.” This new malware targets Bitcoin, Monero (XMR), Cardano (ADA), Ether (ETH), (DASH), XRP, Litecoin (LTC) and such different cryptographic forms of cryptocurrencies.

So as to comprehend the gravity of the risk, process this reality: A location associated with ‘Masad Clipper and Stealer’ has gathered Bitcoin worth more than $9000 till date. The malware is being promoted on hacking discussions. It is really being sold through a layered methodology. It begins with a free form and it tends to be moved up to one with all highlights for $85.

But this is old news. As far as i know "threats" like these (copy + paste address swap and the like) have already been addressed by more recent updates of the major anti virus companies, esp. McAfee, AVG, etc.

If anything, people should be more aware of clicking links randomly posted on the internet.
202  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best advice you ever heard in case of investments and all on: October 01, 2019, 04:00:34 PM
For me it was "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take."

Was a hell of a real eye opener considering i just used to sit down on my money the way parents do and they just keep saving and saving in the bank. I'm so happy to have read books like rich dad poor dan and as a result have luckily invested in some winning coins and stock. Bitcoin, in my opinion, really is starting to look like an appetizing buy tonight.
203  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you trade? At the exchange? Platform? Bots? on: October 01, 2019, 03:14:16 PM
Like majority of this poll's votes, I too trade manually and do my own research. It hasn't been spectacular and I haven't won enough to change my life, but it's still better than letting money sleep in the bank.

As a suggestion, i'd be very wary of trading bots and avoid them like the plague tho. Don't fall for the trick because most of the time they are sleeper scams or not very profitable, in reality.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Popular coins on Forum, 2019 - SEPTEMBER on: October 01, 2019, 02:16:29 PM
i want to know,
what is your favorite token/coin and why? (maby ICO - IEO to)

From a developer's perspective, my favorite coin would have to be Ethereum. I love how it's so easy to get started developing blockchain apps with solidity and how much potential it holds. When i . was working on Ethereum projects i felt like i was learining the ulimate skillset that I will be able to actually use in the future.

Wish you nothing but the best, do the necessary research before picking coins guys, good luck!
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ???? AFRAID OF NEW PROJECTS !!! ? on: October 01, 2019, 11:31:44 AM
Why do you think that everyone is afraid that some of the new projects
some people without doing any research,    They despise a project, which makes other people agree.
is this lack of literacy in the study makes them fail ?
Does this lack of information bring down a project, that MAY have a bright future ?

I don't think people suddenly hate a project without knowing it. If they aren't influenced by someone else, then they are probably a competitor of the project in disguise. Our society has watched too many movies where people will do anything to succeed, even if it means bad mouthing your competitors.

I wouldn't be surprised if fake accounts are involved in such shady techniques.
206  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: October 01, 2019, 06:01:28 AM
Is KYC is benefit to crypto people or not. what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing KYC.

KYC is not directly for the people, it's for the government. They want to help avoid and prevent malicious actors from laundering money or manipulating the financial world. Sadly, they discovered that to help prevent these, they would need to disturb the hell out of regular citizens by asking to complete long and tedious verification processes.

In the end tho, the government is doing this to protect our own interests, or so they say.
207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit my job to do full-time crypto-trading. Made 12 BTC profit last month on: October 01, 2019, 05:49:43 AM
12 btc one user, 13 btc another guy..
Am I only one happy with 0,1 - 0,2 ?

Ha! I thought i was the only one happy with 0.01 and 0.02.

Goes to show how one man's trash is another's happiness, even in crypto. Really interesting back read right here, it's almost inspiring to see how much you can earn as long as you know what you're doing. I'm probably gonna go read some of those trading books my friends gave me.
208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting too emotional while trading crypto on: October 01, 2019, 04:29:01 AM
I don't understand how the chart on the left screams panic while the white chart calls for zen. I guess it's also a matter of perspective and instead of tricking your mind to be so presuaded by COLOR SCHEMES why don't you just train your mind to be more aware and be calm by itself?

I feel like resulting to changing color themes and all these are cheap tricks for the lazy mind. But thats just my 2 sats..
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what will happen if the ethereum price decline continues? on: October 01, 2019, 03:32:00 AM
The problem with this hypothetical situation is that it will never happen. Ethereum price, or other coins/investments, won't simply continue to decline straight down (well unless something so obvious happens like the coin is a scam or the company is shutting down).

There will always be people who will be buying at certain levels and these people buying will trigger bull runs where the price then continues to increase (even if for a short period of time)!
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins With an Actual Working Product on: October 01, 2019, 03:14:29 AM
Only altcoins that have something working RIGHT NOW.

Please leave some comments with what you know of but be sure to link to something with substance in your post. Proof of a working product or service that is actual being used. No prototypes, no pilots, etc. This will be turned in to a nice list once more information is gathered. Doing some searching myself at the moment.

PUNDIX.

It's singapore based and they already have POS and crypto-debit cards in use. They even featured a music concert which used Pundix as a payment method. Really exciting times for these guys, feel free to check out their website: https://pundix.com/product
211  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade war Influences on cryptocurrency on: October 01, 2019, 02:28:53 AM
I just want to discuss with you guys, what influences it will pose on the cryptocurrency if the trade war between US and China continues and maybe even worse. And also, what can ordinary investors do to avoid losses?

Fiat trade war sounds good for bitcoin to me. The more people fear for their fiat money, the more they look for investment vehicles like gold, or even better BITCOIN. It's no surprise . because we've seen this happen already take for example Zimbabwe. When that country's inflation rates resulted to the government printing billion dollar bills everyone tried to preserve the value of their money by investing in bitcoin.
212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin seems to be going up rapidly this morning on: October 01, 2019, 02:26:11 AM
Within the last few hours, Bitcoin has gone up $500 and still seems to be going up. Anyone have any speculation as to why? Looking at the 1day chart, I don't see any indication that the price would be going up today. In fact, it looks like it should be going down.. But, I'm pretty happy as I've just acquired some within the last day or two. That investment is already paying off.

Glad to know you're on the upside now. But really, who can tell whats next with bitcoin, hasn't it always been this roller coaster of a ride, never knowing or expecting when you'll be on top or at the bottom. I've learned to desensitize myself to fluctuations like these and now only trade up or average down when there are clear headline news that indicate massive price movement (like bitcoin etf decisions or the "halvening").
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: advise seeked: what should I do with my miners (28x gpus) on: October 01, 2019, 02:23:00 AM
2. try to sell each gpu / psu solely (would work but lot of effort)

I'd go for option 2 and sell them individually. I also had to do the same when i quit mining a year ago so i may know how difficult it is. It depends on where you live but i think your best chance would be to sell GPUs and motherboards to gamers and sell the PSUs to hobbyists and solar enthusiasts. At least thats how i got rid of mine.

But also, i kept one rig for myself, my 1080ti rig. It's turned off atm but i'm hoping the same as your option #3.

214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A quicky analysis of BTC's RSI dip down over the past few days... on: October 01, 2019, 02:17:03 AM
Over the past few days Bitcoins RSI dipped down on multiple time windows and it went down pretty deep.  Dip dip dip!  Any thoughts on this dip?

Is this a healthy dip down?  Will there be a slow dip, a medium dip, or a fast bounce back?  Are you spotting any contradictory signals to this that I am missing here?

Bitcoin seems to be at a pretty strong support point right now. Can't exactly say if it will be a slow, medium, or fast dip back but one thing seems certain based on all the price opinions/analysis of late, bitcoin is still BULLISH.

I wouldn't be surprised if value rises sharply soon because of the nearing "halvening." Just need to hold a little longer.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Action in relation to Bitcoin on: October 01, 2019, 02:07:02 AM
You know the drill. When Bitcoin rallies hard, altcoins dump. When Bitcoin dumps, all the rest dumps too. But when Bitcoin is sideways, altcoins rally and some go their own price action.

Everyone in this subsection of Bitcointalk is waiting for altcoin season to come again. Some have already given up.

I will try to post my observations about the market relationship of Ethereum which is the current lead indicator of altcoin market health to Bitcoin's.

Hope you keep this thread updated, but also know that the price action doesn't always follow the trends you mentioned. The more important factor to look at will be relevant news and rumors. These affect coin value, be it bitcoin or altcoin, before anything else.

If there are no rumors or news about a coin, thats when it makes more sense to rely on trends.
216  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial crisis 2.0 - What will happen to bitcoin in the next crisis? on: September 30, 2019, 02:00:48 PM
I would like to hear the community opinions about what might happen to our market in a time of world economic crisis

Well my opinion is that bitcoin value will rise meteorically in times of financial crisis. People will want an accessible investment vehicle for their money and crypto has always been a good option aside from gold.

Just take a look at Zimbabwe, people flocked to Bitcoin to preserve value and that drove the price up at their local exchanges.
217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This will help to improve your trading on: September 30, 2019, 01:48:45 PM
hi traders i am sharing my mistakes and experience so that it will help you

-snip-

Well, this list is at least, umm, fresh and original. Theres just a few points i don't agree on:

5) dont trade if markets are too much volatile , no trade is also a trade , relax on that days watch some comedy films
-one can still earn and make a pretty penny from volatile markets, it's harder, but very much possible.

6) dont ever think to recover your losses , or trade against
-i think i know what you mean, but this kind of mindset doesn't work for everyone. better trade with a plan and not just be "reactive" with trading.
218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is Declining? And What’s Next? on: September 30, 2019, 12:53:12 PM
I completely agree on some points, like how bitcoin fundamentals are indeed getting better every time. However, you also have to consider that there are also some negative points that are happening (e.g. Craig "fake ahole satoshi" Wright). So given this, my opinion is that the decline is not unwarranted and is not just a "cycle" this time around. Theres some sketchy things happening but hopefully it is also temporary.

P.S. It's refreshing to see actual analysis on these boards instead of questions.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Telegram group for signals on: September 30, 2019, 09:54:40 AM
I've had my share of these telegram "signal" groups. Based on observation, these groups are breeding grounds for scams, scams, spam, and more scams. @Topic Starter, i would suggest to just read about crypto trends and opinions from more credible outlets like tradingview.

Besides, following what everyone says online is never a good strategy to get rich. You might have to rethink this one!
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ETHEREUM KEEPS DISAPPOINTING on: September 30, 2019, 08:25:38 AM
In the course of this year, ethereum has mostly not been promising due to the many disappointing times we have experienced. Sometimes, it even become very difficult to know when to hold or sell out some ethereum. All the same, many people who trust in altcoins have kept some great faith in ethereum and that is an amazing motivation that ethereum can really bounce back and be the strong force most hodlers wish for.

I completely agree with you, the Ethereum devs have been extra disappointing of late, especially after all the continued promises of switching to POS every year. But the price drops can't all be blamed on the devs, the ETH price is fighting against constant selling pressure because of miners that are selling immediately as they earn ETH. Of course they have to pay for their upkeep and stay liquid!

Hopefully the ETH devs come up with something new, and fast!
