261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: any one tried BIOSTAR gpu's in mining ?? on: September 28, 2019, 09:02:10 AM
Life time and cooling won't probably be too far from more quality brands like those you mentioned as long as you maintain them well (temps, overclocking, etc). Another factor you should consider with buying Biostar GPUs is resale value.

Not very many gamers are interested in buying a Biostar GPU when they can get an MSI or Sapphire or even Asus.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - Is there anything better to use? on: September 28, 2019, 08:58:40 AM
I enjoy mining personally so even if it's at a loss I'll probably continue to do it.

Keep on mining  Smiley

In other words: "I enjoy losing money and i'll continue to do it."

Lol. People can get weird sometimes. Not sure if its just for the post count or attention but i'm never met a real person in real life who likes loosing money. Even some gamblers i know who act tough always hurt in the end when they lose big time.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China tokenizing their currency a good idea i think on: September 28, 2019, 08:55:09 AM
China tokenizing their currency. There are other countries that will follow. What’s going to happen is that there’s not going to be a competition between digital and non-digital currencies. Every currency will be digital says Pompliano, a partner at digital assets investment firm Morgan Creek Digital and a former product manager at Facebook, what do you guys think? this thus makes sense to me

Full news is right here
https://dailyhodl.com/2019/09/27/crypto-heavyweight-urges-us-government-to-tokenize-the-us-dollar-immediately/

Great find, that is definitely good news for the crypto world because it shows real world crypto adoption is increasing. When real world crypto adoption increases, then for sure the value of crypto, in general, not just bitcoin but all altcoins as well, are positively affected.

So yeah, that makes complete sense to me too. Go China finance!
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Remote mining rig through Android phone any suggestion for windows 10? on: September 27, 2019, 04:05:02 PM
Teamviewer is solid and free. Just make sure you aren't using it from an IP other people are because they will suspect you're doing it for commercial use and blacklist your device.

Then you get hit with a time limit on your connections. Other than that it works very well and I've personally used it for years.

+1 for Teamviewer since it's pretty solid. The above poster is right and the only thing you should watch for is getting blacklisted for commercial use.
So as much as possible, login from the same remote device, if even possible, from the same remote connection.

If you ever do get black listed it isn't so bad since you still get to connect for 5 minutes and do your thing before getting disconnected. Enough time for miner restarts and routine things you need to do for mining.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap Cryptocurrencies(<$1) With Huge Potential on: September 27, 2019, 03:58:53 PM
Ironically, most of the coins topic started listed are more than $1 each. But in any case, i'd just like to chime in and say that it is of my opinion that altcoins have very little potential now. We see that over the past few months bitcoin dominance has overpowered these alts and i don't see this changing any time soon.

TAYOR!
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use crypto? on: September 27, 2019, 03:56:39 PM
What are your thoughts, and how do you use crypto?

Although supposedly crypto was my long term investment, i've been using it recently as my emergency fund. I really do hope the world start to realize the value and efficiencies crypto has to offer but for now i'm quite bearish on the outlook because of all this Craig "ahole satoshi" Wright nonsense (if one person can manipulate the price of bitcoin so much then we're screwed until that person runs out of bitcoin to manipulate with).

So for now, i cash out some bitcoin whenever i find a more interesting investment opportunity.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MINING with both GPU and the CPU on the same PC. DUAL MINING!!! on: September 27, 2019, 03:32:42 PM
Sorry but it seems like topic starter is just spamming. As mentioned by everyone else already, it is possible to mine with both CPU and GPU at the same time, but theres not much profit in it. All of your questions have already been answered on google.

Please do your research before dragging along with this thread, if possible, please.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: +50% hash rate - Immersion cooling mining farm on: September 27, 2019, 02:43:10 PM

I use hiveos with asicboost https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcS-kFhi1aM&t=
Power usage at 18.3th/s is 1850watt . Chip temperatures are 70-80c

How can I use your soft ?

Follow the installation guide in video. Let me know if have any issues

Are you the one on the video? If so good job to you, guy, you don't usually see too many miners still at it with the ever rising hash rates and increasing electricity costs (at least from where i live). Great mining setup here.

Wish you nothing but the best on your mining journey.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops on: September 27, 2019, 01:56:35 PM
I know there is,
Tron
Pundi
Mithril
Subtratum

Are there any airdrops? Yes,

But the real question should be, "are there any airdrops that are WORTH THE TIME?" There are so many shit projects right that are giving away worthless shitcoins while also falsely promising enormous gains. Don't waste your times on small fry projects that only want to scam people. Stick with the big guns like Bitcoin or Ethereum!
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A mobile App for MEW on: September 27, 2019, 01:54:02 PM
I dont know if MEW already has a mobile app but if nothing like that exist, then i think its about time the developers develop something like that for easy use. Guys what do you think

Why do you need an app for MEW?

Just open the MEW website on your phone, you don't even need an app for it. With an app you won't be able to see much of the code behind it and you will probably end up getting scammed or hacked by third party developers pretending to be MEW. At least the real MEW website has an HTTPS certificate which can guarantee safety.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any STO projects now? on: September 27, 2019, 01:51:37 PM
You should be able to search this forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0 as a reference or see some STO projects that are still running. You are right and right if you want to switch from ICO to STO. I think we all have the direction of thinking that is all in investing, which is seeking certainty and not just for a moment. Because the future will belong to people who invest from now on.

Good luck finding legit STO projects from that page. Theres simply too much to filter and search because even if they say a project is an STO you really won't know unless you check with the local government. Imagine how difficult and time consuming that would be especially if they registered with a third world country.

If you ask me no real project would put much effort into identifying themselves as an ICO or STO because they would instead be too easy working an actual project.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Years of bear market.. what to expect next on: September 27, 2019, 10:26:23 AM
i don't know what on earth would trigger the bullrun in the alts. i think we have seen enough of this bloodbath there is about 8 month left in the bitcoin next block halving and still market condition is not improving. is there will be any improvement in the alts or they all will die

Hard to say that its been 2 years of bear market when just a few months ago we saw bitcoin (along with altcoins) rocket to the $13,000+ level. It's just a cycle that we need to go through until higher lows are created. Eventually the true potential of bitcoin and crypto will be realized anyway and we as early adopters will be very happy then. Just hold and be patient boys, hodl and be patient.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: INVESTING BASED ON MERE PREDICTIONS on: September 27, 2019, 10:11:28 AM
A lot of people come online making rounds series of predictions on what becomes of prices of the two most popular cryptocurrencies. This action has cost series of newbies a fortune which they lost to investment based on such predictions.
2017 was a great year for some people in bitcoin and ethereum trading while it was a doom of some most especially those that were then new to cryptocurrency. Some of these people are yet to recover from lost to the investment at the time bitcoin traded at over $18,000. We have seen another one recently with the last and very short bull run.

Will this be another blow to the prediction based investors?

By the way it's starting to look, it may be so. Too many a people have bought and invested on bitcoins and altcoins expecting it too change the world, i know, because i was once the same way too. But facing reality now, i see that its going to take more time and the road to getting there will be difficult. Too difficult in fact that it may be too risky to investment on crypto at the moment. When it gains more real world traction in terms of transactions, only then will i return and buy more crypto.

But this is just my opinion, and i've been burned by crypto and mining quite badly.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects plan from the very start on: September 27, 2019, 08:58:39 AM
1. Attract investors with good discount price
2. Make enough money from IEO fund raising
3. Use very low fund to list on shit exchange
4  Abandon the project slowly

This is all planned from the beginning....

Now the question is which developer doesn't know that listing on low exchange won't do any good? are devs that stupid? no they are not, infact they are the ones that understand more about crypto that any other.

You got it spot on sir. That seems to be exactly how every scam ICO or coin operates. The sad part is that people never learn and always fall for the hype. The only thing we can do is keep posting things like these so that hopefully more people will be aware and avoid these scams like the plague.

So here is a bump for you good sir! Keep it up.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New rig advice on: September 27, 2019, 08:49:34 AM
This thread was a refreshing and interesting read. Didn't realize people still mine with $0.15 electricity (so many things can go wrong!). But ok i get if it's for "hobby" purposes. But thats a really costly hobby (then again there are also other costly hobbies like, sky diving, yacht racing, and other much more fun stuff)! I hope people at least look at installing solar panels as a primary hobby before getting into mining.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Earn 1% in 24 hours on: September 27, 2019, 08:42:05 AM
This is not a definition of passive income.

Passive income is an income that you don't do anything, hence it's passive, you just have to wait for the money to come in. As oppose to this strategy wherein you have to repeat in the next 24 hours.

But given crypto's volatility, there are days that this method won't be effective. Or could be others are doing the same exact thing, hence it will be saturated and won't be effective.

Agreed. This is not passive income, theres actually quite a lot of steps i didn't even bother finishing reading all of them!

Also, anything to good to be true, probably is. I'd advise anyone reading this thread to be weary of get rich quick schemes like this. Do your own research first!
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin price recovery on: September 27, 2019, 08:34:33 AM
The title says it all — altcoin price recovery is underway. Personally, i would be satisfied if prices go back to where they were a few days ago, but a rally that would take them higher wouldn't hurt, either.

What are your thoughts and expectations?

https://coinmarketcap.com/

It's probably all because of Craig Wright's fault. His greed and lust for bitcoin seems to have backfired and now he seems to feel betrayed by the crypto community so what he is now doing is selling lots of bitcoin to bring the price down further.

The good thing is when he's done selling his bitcoin, bitcoin will be stronger and rid of toxic people like him. Bitcoin and altcoins will rise again, just hodl and be patient.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: September 27, 2019, 08:28:31 AM
Amazing to see Claymore still powering through miner updates. I can only imagine how much money he already has from all the dev fees. I wouldn't be surprised if hes already retired.

Quoting a post from reddit:
"If half of miners use Claymore's software, the coins they mine are $5m/day. If the fee is 2%, Claymore earns about $100000 a day. That's $36 million a year"

Damn.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Answers on: September 27, 2019, 05:44:12 AM
Someone send me a message asking me that how will i know when if bitcoin will go up or down when trading? and is trading based on luck? when i decide to answer the question openly, trading is risky as well but you can indeed limit your loss if you know when to trade.

1. When to trade
I belief that the best time to trade is right when bitcoin recovery takes place, the moment price stability occurs is another good time for trading or when price start surging.

2. How to trade
Actually in trading you need to put aside your greed, once greed gets over you losses will follow, limit your daily trading too or you will open door to losses, trade twice a day is enough, always use low amount when trading, do not trade with big amounts, slow trading wins the race.

i am not perfect as well and i have lost some money in trading before i figured this out on my own and it works for me.

In now way can trading be limited down to 2 questions and answers. There is a science behind it that analysts and stock brokers study for years and year. Trading without doing the necessary research and analysis is the best way to loose your money.

If you are trading and only asking those 2 questions then you are about to loose your money. You should start reasearching more about trading imho.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the future ?? on: September 27, 2019, 05:41:06 AM
1. Altcoins are so many; that they replace one another.
If an old altcoin dies
New altcoins will replace them and old one will be forgotten... It goes on and on

2. Bitcoin has maintained its class and importance;

Is it that bitcoin is the only hope for the future ??

It seems to appear so. Altcoins have grown so much in number but in terms of significance, almost nothing has happened. So many coins have been created but none of them are actually used in real life the way bitcoin has.

People are now realizing altcoins were just a passing sensation and Bitcoin is the most reliable cryptocurrency out there.
