Vosk are you still high on zen? I know you've been mining it since before the huge runup earlier this year. Is it still worthwhile
Absolutely man, sorry late reply, if you look at what their team is doing first some of the top 25 coins. . you may start to wonder when their coin will be up there Cheesy

Great guide. I currently mine with 2 ASUS STRIX O11G (http://[Suspicious link removed]/2DCVMq7) and they give about 730 Sol/s. Looking forward to include more.
thanks man Cheesy // how do you like them? what power usage / oc settings you using?

Nice guide. I am about to build a rig, but I will assemble the frame myself.

I see you use cards with blower fans. Have you ever had temp issues with it?

Blowing the hot air on the back of another card does not seem like a long lasting solution to me, I am considering to install my blower cards on the side of the frame or vertical on top.
thanks my friend, I used blowers because well I just had the blowers, I kind of prefer blowers (maybe I shouldn't though?) for 2 tier frames like this one, because otherwise the cards kind of exhaust heat out of the side and top, which seems to heat soak the entire rig a bit more. W/ the blowers all the heat is shot out of say the back, so I just don't have another rig right behind it and it's good to go

You have a template you're using or free hand for the frame?

I think that would work Cheesy

Hey everyone put together a new 12x 1080 TI build, this time I tried to go more in-depth and my wire management has certainly leveled up. My first 12x 1080 TI build was pretty time consuming but this one went much better and really. . turned out much better I would say this is the rig I am the most proud of.

Anyway here's the full video tutorial guide on how to build your own 12+ GPU mining rig!

Hello, despite low volume and other issues, COSS experiences frequent deposit/withdraw issues too, several times I made deposits/withdrawals but not completed in time even with enough confirmations and in "Success" status on block explorer. Recently, I have requested three withdrawals: ETH, STX and BNT yesterday  but none of them completed yet, all are just lying and not reaching to the destination addresses.

any update on this & did you contact their support with any success?
Well my deposit  of 12.34 Waves is pending since 16 December, has several confirmations on blockchain and support isnít responding.
same here, support, nada, no response tx has thousands of confirmations...

did they ever get either of you guys situated? that's pretty alarming . .

What a nice looking setup. A money maker and conversation piece.
Yeah its perfect for him and used w/ a couple old parts in a box + an old table that was just collecting dust in the garage!

Trying to convince my girlfriends parents to let me use their garage. Its exausting trying to learn 2 very simple farmers the technology behind Crypto. I'd say its damn near impossible. Cheesy
whats been your pitch and what was their response? xD

Maybe something simpler like you setup computers that the big corps rent out and pay you for it? O_O

merry Christmas indeed

im trying to muster the whole family behind a mining farm fund

thnx for the vids you upload

haha that is awesome hopefully you can get a family farm started!
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 25, 2017, 05:49:43 PM

Just received the 315$ miner posted earlier in the thread, surprisingly the quality is better than my expectations.
What I received is board, case,1600W power supply with 10 6Pin connectors, 3 delta fans, 8 cables (6 pin to 6 pin)
What i didn't expect  is that K17 board is smaller than the colorful and have tighter slots spacing

The Good

Delta fans
Case quality is good
PSU quality looks similar to bitmain PSU
6 fan connectors
2 ram slots
Work with both Msata and M.2

The Bad
PSU fan running 100%
board spacing is horrible, 570/580 Nitro cards didnít fit
No possibility of Sata HD

So far after testing 3 different 8GPU boards , Onda is ranked number one mainly for slot spacing .

Couldn't imagine trying to even fit these in there lol //onda shown in pic

If anyone is trying to get their friends /family into crypto and needs a little extra ammo hopefully my video could help lol

It's still crazy for me to see, my dad is one of the more "oldschool" / not a risk taker / conservative as possible with his money, he wasn't sold on crypto but was into the fact that he could own hardware that would generate crypto for him. Anyway happy holidays my friends

Hey everyone Merry Cryptomas I hope you're all well. Great day to turn off the price charts and just try to relax with your friends and family.

Put together this fun & light video on how I convinced my dad earlier this year to not only get into cryptocurrency but to build a couple GPU Mining Rigs

.....

.....

I like your reports! They are informative and detail. But there is the question: Why do you place GPUs so close to each other? It's not good for the cooling. Of course your presented temperatures are amazing. But the distance about 8-10 centimeters between GPUs I think the best choise
thanks brother! // I wouldn't if I didn't have to! I would love for this board to implement more spacing or a cheap case to slap onto it, would be no fun to use risers with all those full size slots on it
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8x GPU Riser-less Motherboard Mining Rig Build w/ 1070 TI on: December 23, 2017, 07:08:19 PM
Well,  I think this is not really good in a long run, cause gpus are very close to each other, that's why temp should be high there.
For example my result for GTX1070ti is about 530-540 sol/s, this achieved @ PL 90, core +208 mem +300 and temps are really low - like 62 -67C degrees

I think if you have a case with fans on both sides, should disperse the heat nicely. Otherwise a water cooled set up is the alternative.
good point watercooled could be a lot of fun with this, I know a couple places working on cases / prebuilt setups for this so that'll be interesting to see

1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8x GPU Riser-less Motherboard Mining Rig Build w/ 1070 TI on: December 23, 2017, 07:03:35 PM
I'm interested if this can run 8 1080Tis. How do you power 3 Molex and 3 SATA with a server PSU?
personally I wouldn't be too comfortable slapping that many 1080 TI on there O_O / could use an adapter (likely)
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are 1070 TI's the next best GPU for mining? 4.7 sols per watt on: December 23, 2017, 01:13:09 PM
Anyone managed to take the settings further with even better results / esp on linux?

Probably card dependent, and seems to at least in part be mining software dependent.

It DOES look like the best efficiency point on EBWF is at 104 watts not 106, but it's so close it could be an artifact of measurement limits.

I tried pushing core and memory harder on one of my EVGA SC cards, but stability went bad very quickly above the +200 core and +700 memory settings (which was an unreported part of my original testing).
That however might vary with the specific card and probably with the model of GPU.

I'm not waiting, as I'm not convinced that the Volta versions of the 10xx series cards will be a LOT more efficient.
10% probably, 20% maybe, 30% I'd bet against - we're still on the same process node, just "process improvements" and perhaps some additional minor optimisations to the designs are all we're likely to see - think of "RX 4xx vs RX 5xx" level changes being the most likely.

Hint - "12nm" isn't a new node, it's enhancements to a current 16nm node process with a "new name" as strictly an ADVERTISING point.

Samsung does seem to have some VERY small quantity of production happening on 10nm - but strictly for low-power devices like their smartphones at this point, and they're eating ALL of the output so far.
Intel is supposed to FINALLY be shipping their first 10nm products next year - but the date keeps slipping.....

Manufacturing efficiency for both is probably going to be VERY poor on anything they manage to ship at 10nm next year - it takes TIME to dial a new process in, and it seems to take longer every time a legitimate "shrink" happens TO get the new process dialed in.

hmmm my results are a little better on DSTM vs EWBF

https://youtu.be/oPX864SOUPE

I messed around with my latest zotac 1070 ti mini's for awhile and I never really got them above 4.3 sols/watt -- im no OC guru though / I'm at
175 core 700 memory and 110 watts on DSTM

Like your input and mindset here + by the time the new cards roll out I imagine everyone buying now could have made their money back lol so why wait Cheesy

I have to pickup my MSI Gaming X 1070 Ti from the post office tomorrow. What a waste to have it there one night in the box haha
I was quite impressed by the results people posted here - will report back tomorrow!
how is it performing?
