1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen when BTC will get closer to 21M?! on: November 11, 2017, 11:29:10 AM
The Bitcoin price will be very high as the supply of Bitcoin is limited and the ownership of 1BTC at that time will be very difficult.

Yes you are right, in my opinion the blockchain and decentralization will exist, but not all people will find attractive to use, only those ones who have to keep their identity. Will they be good or bad people that is other question Wink

Problem is that whole system relies on miners and if they don't find profit they will leave system, though history shows that catastrophic situations from films (like all machines will rise against humans) don't happen.
During the time ASIC miners will become cheaper according to Moor's law, which is great!

Yep of course it is too far, but speed of transactions getting slower and slower, right now there is no any fork for that.
Segwit2x isn't accepted by mostly of all exchanges so who knows what will happen with all this ecosystem.

then they will sell miners.

That's how deflation happens Smiley
All will start sell their hardware and price will go down for hardware, but no many people will buy them.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What will happen when BTC will get closer to 21M?! on: November 11, 2017, 10:27:26 AM
Hi Guys!

Recently I was thinking what will happen after 21M limit reaches?!

Whole bitcoin decentralization relies on miners, who compute for our transactions and so, but they should have their profit in that, cause nobody won't work for free Wink
As far as the limit getting closer the mining starting to be slow and profit is getting to be less.

I guess sooner or later a lot of miners will move to other cryptocurrencies like ETH and so, even if some non-profit organization take care about mining process the whole meaning of the decentralization will disappear.

I think there is no Bitcoin bubble in that meaning like was for dot.com (though for other currencies there is bubble IMHO:)), because the whole meaning of Bitcoin is anonymity and this is very important thing for humans in the our era, which means that even if Bitcoin reaches to the 21M there won't be significant deflation, but my concern is that as far that number getting closer as mining will become less profitable and miners will drop this useful and great process!

Hope I am wrong, because Bitcoin is great project!

Hi Guys

Because I know how much these exchanges earn and what are their support level I am shocked, they could provide more guys for support, as well as mostly they don't cover whole question of users and providing answers like government doing in most of countries  Grin

About fiat money I would add USD, EUR, RUB, GBP firstly and few others after some time, because project can't stack in one place and should move forward with providing new features, so during some time there will be a no little amount of fiats.

As developer and CTO of other fintech non-crypto startup I can say that programming parts are not hardest part, but most hardest is marketing, I should find some good guys who can do advertisement, as well as good security guys.

Between what do you think guys about merchant services for online stores with cryptocurrencies?  Roll Eyes

Like Stripe or PayPal, but BTC or ETH. So user pays with bitcoin and you receive USD on your account (As exchange provider you can use top 10 exchanges which will be provided by system) + little transaction fee.

Hi

Guys thanks for good wishes!

Of course the support will be on top priority, because all businesses and good products are developed on user experience, so as much user will feel comfortable when using the service as service will rise.

About user experience should be honest and say that there are some good looking exchanges like CEX.IO and so, but unfortunately there isn't any good exchange with all high level services like fiat to crypto and crypto to crypto with better support. For example I couldn't verify my identity on CEX.IO, because they don't accept non-Latin documents, but I am living in non-English speaking country where there isn't any problem with crypto world (I am from Armenia!).
So I send them document translated by notary, but they have not accepted it, instead I used Coinmama were I could easly get in touch with support, though there I don't trade directly with other community members.

Anyway any good product should have some little amount of investment, I don't think that exchange will need huge amount of money (I think 30K-40K is enough), especially that I want to build good service.

Between the exchange that I was working on (I was front end developer:)) is liqui.io,not trying to do any advertisement. Wink
8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitbank.nz - Crypto Market Predictions With Machine Learning on: November 10, 2017, 06:59:57 PM
Hi

I am data scientist and CTO of one non-crypto fintech startup where we are doing analytics for US stocks and funds.
We are trying to simplify usage of metrics with charts and so, but we never use predictions for financial markets.

Of course you can use linear regression and other algorithms for prediction something, but financial market is not that area, because not everything is connected with price and volume or other metrics.
There are many aspects like war or government restrictions of fintech and these aspects can't be predicted by machine learning.

Anyway good luck with project  Wink

Hi

Just wondering will you guys use new exchange if there will be lower rate than on other platforms?
As well as which one do you prefer fiat to crypto or crypto to crypto or both together?

Reason that I am asking that we have in mind to develop new exchange with better UX/UI performance and usability, margin trading as well as with lower fee and better anonymity.

At beta test we will going to provide some amount of money to beta testers for trading.

What you think about the idea?  Roll Eyes

As I was developer in team of one exchange which is very successful now, I have in mind to create platform where you can :

  • store your wallet of BTC and ETH as well as for other coins.
  • Trade with coins.
  • Dev API for merchant development
  • Read news from cryptocurrency and blockchain world
  • Mobile app for all these things after successful beta test.
  • As well as if community will allow (you are ruler in this world) in this app you can buy BTC or other coins by fiat completely anonymously without any verification.

NOTE: this isn't any fraud (like rawx.io) or average exchange.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining Dash, ETH and Monero with AntMiner S7 seems to be unrealistic on: May 07, 2017, 09:22:46 PM

I am new to this sphere, so please don't judge strictly.
I have started to learn about blockchain technologies, BTC and other crypocurrencies and right now interested in mining. I know that mining of BTC is not very profitable right now, but other currencies can be profitable.

I looked at ETH, DASH and Monero and according to https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/xmr?HashingPower=4.86&HashingUnit=TH%2Fs&CostPerkWh=0.12&PowerConsumption=1210 I can earn near 150K per day with AntMiner S7, which seems to be unrealistic.

Please help me understand how this staff works, is it real or I have some misunderstood something?

Thanks in advance!

I need good colegues who can help me with this purpose. I have an experience of development of trading exchange, so know some trading exchanges and where they have lacks.
This won't just another one cryptocurrency exchange we will add more staff eventually and will build turst.
Also not only exchange, since I need team of geeks who are really committed and together we can build more great staff.
About technologies and other staff you can ask here Smiley

Hope you are excited!
