Your sentence make sense i invested NEO at the price of 100$ now its value less than 20$ still i am holding that . Even i invested on KCS as well as COSS still this coins lost half of this value . But i am believing in the product . Some coins i invested based on hype these coins became disaster some example are Credits ,  Titanium . SO do enough research you will never worry even coins value goes to bottom.

Based on my experience expecting 5x to 10x profit is the greedy thing . In 2017 i got lots of profit some ICO given even 100X profit but in 2018 everything took away even most of my earning became nothing .So this year crypto market thought me lesson keep profit ratio for small amount then no need to face problem . Also dont invest on ICO until your not having great research and complete details.

Even most of my coins reduced its value more than 500% of its original bitcoin investment but still I am optimistic on this . I am using lots of exchanges from past few years I found binance and kucoin best in centralised exchange category. Previously etherdelta was best decentrelised exchange but after hack and ico scam it’s gone horrible even I am using idex and ddex  but these exchnges still lags lots of feature kind of minimalist m trade ammount and lots more.

The Main reason would be airdrops completely failed , ico is giving loss and even some most successful ico giving very less profit even some became disaster . Most of the ico and airdrop were happening based on erc20 or above ethereum token. Even trx , eos moves from ethereum network their own blockchain .

I do agree with your stastics for last couple of months but definitely one of the best used used and most promising blockchain technology would be ethereum . People might be falling because of cardano , EOS , TRX , IOST future expectation but once the bull run starts ethereum will be the first coin to be picked up . Its having real use case as well as its been using every day in crypto world.

Still i dont support the word Bubble .yes there was huge manipulation happened at the end of 2017 because there was a reason in august bitcoin cash fork happened all bitcoin holders got free BCH so it was worth good ammount of money . In october 2 fork announce BTG as well Segwit2x but segwit2x not happened . Here the actual big manipulation happened lots of greedy people entered to crypto initially to get free coins then price started to raise then it became talk of the town  In the mean time whales took opportunity even they started to pump . I could say now bitcoin price is justifiable even its more than 100%  growth last year value

THe main cause of ICO failure is greed and liberty . Greed by investors they started to invest on project which is not having any potential then after Liberty is given to projects or ICO's they cando whatever they want once they successfully raised the fund its the biggest . Even some project not listed in exchanges some are never try to reach to community some not tried to achieve roadmap.

I accept 4th point most of the time use that strategy but recently these strategy gone horribel some coins became scam i bought from dip without doing much research immidiately that turn out to be scam then coin were delisted . I am planning to join good pump and dump group may it change my life.

As you said eth or btc will be to 2 position either btc will be first or ethereum will be first . But here the difficult thing is to find 3rd generation coin . I think neo will be in 3rd position because already it’s proven even lots of blockchain based projects using it.
