You must switch your mind. The profit is in dollars and not direct in bitcoins.

im sorry but i must disagree, i dont really care about USD what im trying to get more of is BTC

i foresee the value of USD declining in the future and the value of BTC increasing thus i want to acquire more btc , not dollars

I just don't understand drop loss feature. It's set up to be 98% of my buying price, yet it doesn't get executed at that price and drop-loss price on main window slides down with current price as it's base.

it is not 98% of buying price , it is 98% of price X , X gets reset to the current price every Y amount of seconds , Y is set you in the box above the percent value in the advanced settings

hope this helps

Drop loss not getting executed here, went to sleep and found myself in solid losing position thinking this bot would help with that.

I don't have idea what is going on or if I'm doing something wrong here, you definitely need to add more documentation here.

Why is my caluclated drop loss price exactly my set % but of current price, not the one I bought at. And it's just keep going down as price is going down, no execution at all.

did you set the droploss reset timer to something low (under 45mins to me) if so it will reset to the % of the current price every X amount of seconds, try making the reset longer
324  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: December 06, 2013, 01:10:11 AM

- New: Advanced setting to reset the last buy and sell prices after a sell command.

sorry for the bad news but i believed this update may have messed with something
when i benchmark my files it seems as though the bot completely ignores the "last buy and sell reset timeout" my bot is trading at losses without waiting for the timer to run out

will be switching back to 9.0.6

anybody else having this issue or just me?

thanks for the great work though stephan

edit:typo

@CADguy:
Your suggestion about the "current interval" next to the "last update"... what do you mean by this? The current prices?

i meant the current interval that the bot is on because it is sometimes hard to guess/ estimate from the graph where you are
the "last update" is just a good location for you to place it beside

if im not being clear i mean on the graph you can see that the bot is currently between for example interval 2000 and 2500 but its hard to see that its actualy on interval 2463 (just an example)

let me know if im still not being clear

but there are 2 other things i will have a look at first before i put the new release online. I do not want to keep updating unless it is absolutely needed.

hey just a quick suggestion of something you could add in there

could you add the current interval next to the "last update" time at the bottom left Smiley

Long term trading
- Set the time interval to something like 2, 5 or 10 minutes
- Last buy and sell at 0
- Drop-loss price at 95% of the current price
- Open the advanced settings, disable the fee-overcome safety (warning this could give some unprofitable trades, that is normal it will compensate in time)
- Open the advanced settings, set the drop-loss-price adjustment to 5x your interval time and adjust to something like 97% oft he current buy price.
- Add one MACD or MACD-MA indicator at default settings.
- Setup your trade amount and coin position and press activate.

hey!

so ive been playing with the EMA values for hours and i cant seem to come anywhere near what i'd like

im trying to get the ema to come close/match the ones on bitcoinwisdom (they use 7 &30) http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/btce/ltcbtc

preferably the ones from the 5 or 15 or 30 min graphs, the EMAs in the bot are wayy off from these, any idea how i could fix this? ive tried a ton of values for 20,80 and 140 second steps, any help would really make me happy

i seem to able to find the perfect EMA's to loose a ton of money so if there's anyway to reverse the indicater (buy means sell and sell means buy) that could work as well

cheers

Well, for one thing, hedging is always sound strategy.

Bitcoin is still extremely undervalued.  Some people believe Litecoin to be slightly more undervalued than Bitcoin is - it's one of the very few viable alternatives/competitors/complements to BTC that features important technological distinctions.  So Litecoin is catching up a little.  Altcoins have a bad reputation because most of them are indeed pump-and-dump junk or naive tweaks without the balancing act brilliance that underpins BTC.  But one or two of them may just have a very exciting future of their own to look forward to.

seems logical enough thanks for the explanation

do you think btc will one day be the "gold" of digital currency and ltc as the "silver"
329  Economy / Speculation / Why is the BTC/LTC price changing so much on: November 27, 2013, 10:03:30 PM
anyone have any idea why btc is dropping so much in relation to LTC, its practically double in the last 24hrs...??

edit: as in is there a specific reason that you can think of, no just "well people want ltc more"
