1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My first mining rig (GPU) on: January 10, 2020, 08:29:22 AM
If you are not a computer guy, you will have issues with maintenance because a lot of things need to be taught first.
It would help if you can be together with a person who will be building a rig for you because you can learn a lot of things during preparation and installation.

From my personal experience, I can tell you that it will be hard if something crashes because you will invest a lot of your time in research and repair. If someone else would repair it for you, it will be expensive.

I would call myself a computer guy and I had a lot of struggles maintaining a rig because any downtime means expense. In the end, I decided just to buy coins and hold them, from time to time even trade them a bit and now I have plenty of free time Smiley

Oh, and BTW, the room where your rig(s) would be, temperatures might go extremely high. It can be also very loud.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain Usage In Mainstream Examples on: January 09, 2020, 02:01:43 PM
So far, blockchain usability is looking very good Smiley as authors before me stated and counted a few of already successful projects. I have a strong feeling, that the year 2020 will be strong in blockchain development.
Also, changes need to be done in the industry sector, which is a "driver" of progress. Some of the current processes are based on old theories and practices but because of lack of flexibility in this sector, everything is moving slow. This sector is at risk for disruptive innovation which is in my opinion blockchain.
I am also now for a few years in a development team which we would like to simplify processes and make it more cost-efficient with the help of blockchain. So far looking very promising  Grin
3  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin might be over but blockchain will live on: January 06, 2020, 11:45:49 AM
Despite decreasing in value, BTC is far from getting over. The technology behind it is evolving in "silent", transaction fees are getting lower, speed is much faster. However, due to broader usage of blockchain technology, and because of it's nature, BC might seem more popular right now. Banks, governments, corporations are implementing BC in its processes and for that, they don't specifically need BTC. But BTC supply is limited, there is demand and at least in a future might be a collectible thing to have (if not anything else but I highly doubt about that). But I am sure it will be more than that.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Is IBM is on path to bring blockchain to the masses? on: December 13, 2019, 02:02:31 PM
I need to say, it's an interesting discussion.
I absolutely agree about IBM being a slow heavy bandwagon, but we are still talking about the first "baby" steps. Companies are still pivoting and trying to find a solid grip, because customers are ones who will pay after all. And yes, blockchain exists for years now, but the same goes with the story of the laser. It needs to become mature.
Mass adoption can appear in many ways but imho it is crucial that big players show their belief in the blockchain. And right now, it seems like they start to care about it.
5  Economy / Economics / Is IBM is on path to bring blockchain to the masses? on: November 25, 2019, 09:14:22 AM
Let's be honest. If anyone can really afford R&D in new technologies, it's IBM. Especially because they are already on a mission to implement blockchain in daily use. For example food industry with supply chain, advertising, finance trades. See for yourself: https://www.ibm.com/blockchain

But what actually this mean? Is IBM on a path to conquer the world of blockchain? Did they found the missing link to adoption BC to masses? Or are they still on a mission to find it?

Because since I first heard for blockchain, I've wondered what is the REAL usability of a new player in technology, so-called "blockchain".  Is it only good at being public, decentralized? For this case, I thought, OK, this may be good for finance (bitcoin), also elections, but what else?

Can blockchain technology really come ahead with a hybrid between public and private? I work in the Mechanical Industry sector and can clearly see what IBM is doing right now. And when companies will recognize the potential in it (savings, better, faster work, accuracy, less waste...) it will become huge. But in this case, we are talking about private blockchain that can still outperform traditional databases. So it means, it works.

Masses need to adapt technology to become global. But I think in this case those masses will be companies, later people. And companies don't like to share data with everyone, only with parties that are trustworthy. And this is how (hybrid) private blockchains can rise.

f3tus hvala za odgovor. Smiley Vsaka informacija pride prav.

Scenarij:
Nekaj BTC in drugih valut "obrnem" s trgovanjem:
- nakazilo na eno borzo, špekulacije, izplačilo.
- nakazilo na prvo borzo, špekulacije, prenos na drugo, špekulacije... in nazaj na prvo, izplačilo
- nakazilo na prvo borzo, prenos na drugo, kjer špekuliram z altcoini (nekatere holdam)..., izplačilo na drugi/tretji borzi

Potem pa težava, če npr. 1/2 (alt)coinov narudarim:
