please add me.
I have a couple S9s, L3+s, D3s, and a 5 GPU 1080ti rig.
Would like to discuss mining strategies with folks.

Take a look at this guy's setup. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GE6N5ktUBKwLooking at implementing a couple hundred S9 miners with this current setup: Large room 1500-2000sqft with 18" ceilings with a large garage/overhead door. I am trying to figure out the most optimal setup for this configuration. I was thinking on making an enclosed room infront of the garage door and within that enclosed room have the exhaust end of the miners blow the heat into the contained room and have exhaust fans draw it out the large door? Essentially have one long rack on each side of the room that runs parallel with it. Any other suggestions would be appreciated....

Saw your youtube video. Quite impressive. Know where I could find a 19 GPU frame to be shipped to the U.S.? I've looked at ebay.com, but so far, the max they have is a frame for 14 GPUs.

Yah - I saw that as well. 16 PCIE on the motherboard and then add another 16 for 8x GPU cards (at least for the 1080ti cards) for a total of 32 PCIE. That's quite a lot. I wonder what all those PCIE power connectors are for? I get one to power each slot but the second set?

very cool.
I would be interested in seeing if 19x 1080tis will work in Linux using something like nvOC or SimpleMining distro.
please keep me posted on when/if you have a chance to do something like this and when the MB are for sale. Would at least like to try one out and see how frustrating it is to try to get 19x cards to work/stable.

Hey all.
(I posted this thread here in the altcoin section because BCH is considered an 'alt' by many.)
So right now I have 2 S9s. One S9 I have mining BTC and the other S9 is running BCH. I'd like to setup auto-switching between BTC and BCH with payout in BTC.
looks like maybe zpool, f2pool, and nicehash have this capability? Any others?
Thanks.

That would be cool.
Especially if some/all of the crypto was in an escrow and if equipment wasn't shipped out by xyz date then reduction in price, refund of money, etc.

Finksy,
Are you back up and running yet? Would like to get a couple IBM 2880W power supplies, cables, and picos from you.

LULZ, so you want them to take ALL the risk and you to take MOST of the profit eh? Do yourself a favour and don't hold your breath while you wait for their reply LMFAO.
Hah. I don't expect a reply, (actually they gave me a KNC form to fill out) and the worst they could say is no. If you don't ask, you don't know.

Yah.
My thought was that if you had a 1 year lease, you could get a loan (or group of miners together) to pay for the first month, and then use the profits from the first month of mining to hopefully pay back the loan (or at least a substantial part) and future months of leasing/hosting.
Not sure how much the monthly lease would be, but it would be more reasonable to come up with (although would still be a chunk of change) than 1.2 million.

Are they going to release their custom OS so this could be ran on any hardware, or does one have to buy their box?
|
|
|
Yah. I asked if they would lease one for 1 year (mining equipment gets outdated so fast) and what the cost would be but no response back.

I asked bitfury and this was their response.
BlockBox IC - The BlockBox IC (15PH unit) is sold out. The last batch BlockBox IC sold for appx $2.5m USD per 15PH container consuming 2MW.
BlockBox AC - BlockBox AC is available as a 7.5PH unit consuming 1.1MW at a price of $1.2M * BitFury's most advanced 16nm ASIC chip * Housed at our location in Canada at 3 cents / kwh * BitFury's full service + energy costs per mth = total @ $35K/mth * Delivery in 60 days after signing * Limited Order Run

Windows. Will give your suggestions a try and report back. Thanks. Linux or Windows?
Anyway 4 Gpu should work at least.
For 5 or more make sure Above 4G is enabled in bios and that you installed your OS in uefi mode.
Better check that first and if you did and it still doesn't work maybe bad riser, issue with motherboard, ...

So I currently have 5 of these 1080ti cards - MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti DirectX 12 GeForce GTX 1080 TI ARMOR 11G OC 11GB 352-Bit http://www.ebay.com/itm/382016280684?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITCurrently have 4 (hope to add a 5th using the M.2 port) of them in the mining rig using nemos-zpool and trying to get the cards stable. Haven't done any setting tweaks yet. Will startup nemos and sometimes the rig will start mining for a few minutes other times only a handful of seconds and then the box will reboot. Currently using nemos-1.7.4 and will try the latest 1.7.6 to see if this fixes any issues. Anyone using this card and/or has some tweaks for it? Trying to get nemos-zpool to work, but open to others software/pools if I can't get my cards stable. Goal is to mine most profitable coins and then switch/store to BTC/ETH/Dash. Thanks.

Will be getting 5x 1080ti here hopefully by the end of the week. Currently, looking to try to get nemos auto-switching on zpool up and running and compare it to nicehash and will report back results so we can compare. Any other mining software/pools I should be looking at?

Alright. Just broke down and ordered five 1080 ti cards to mine zcash. Now trying to figure out Linux/Windows. If Linux, which distro? Does Claymore's program support the 1080 ti cards in Linux?

How many kW are you running and what are you paying per kWh? Have you seen your electric bill yet?
