201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 12, 2016, 02:17:12 PM
Is everything OK at Poloniex? I sent a few LISK there almost 3 hours ago and it has been stuck on 185 of 303 transactions. The blockchain shows over 1000 confirmations.
Any experiences there? Suspicious this happens during a deep dip in prices.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 12, 2016, 08:54:29 AM
Voted for the polls, Lisk is number 1 on both sites lol Smiley

Mega DUMP = tactic of smart investors.

Just dump I hope price goes to 60k or lower to buy more  Grin

I didnt sell 1 lisk (only 1 vote Tongue) since i bought it at the ico..i dont care if it reaches 0.0001 dollar cents.

If it reaches next year 100 dollar, i dont want another bitcoin train i missed years ago when i could buy it at 10 cents Tongue, if not like bitcoin train I DONT CARE Cheesy i tried.

Let me tell you the truth, there is only one survival ship! It's called Bitcoin all the other are kids toys and all are pulled by the mothership...

So by supporting any alt coin you just offer your btc to scammers, coin artists and astute market participants...

Why didn't I sold when it was over 100k sat... Next you will say yourself why didn't I sold when it was over 10k and one day another gullible will say why didn't I sold when it was over 1k sat and so on until sub sat...

Bitcoins has thousand of side chains... Lisk is one of them for kiddies wanting to play the forging scam and harvest through crossvoting your hard earned btc.

You ever hear of progress? Ever hear not to put all your eggs in one basket.
We all love Bitcoin but it is not the only game in town.
That said, most alts are scams it seems. But this one certainly appears NOT to be one.

And by your logic, you missed a roughly 300% BTC profit by not investing in LISK.  Wink
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 12, 2016, 08:16:57 AM
Why is there no option to withdraw part of my coins?
I would like to withdraw 1 coin first and if everything is correct, then I should be able to withdraw the rest.

Now if I make a mistake in the address, all my coins are lost forever.
You should make withdrawals more user friendly.

Ouch, that is too bad. Didn't notice that.

Would be nice if they allow the ICO wallets to send out specific amounts. It is a more secure wallet due to having Google Authenticator.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 12, 2016, 08:08:15 AM
BTC is having a strong rally, that means our Waves will have a strong price point as well.

Most of the alts are going down with BTC moving up. It generally hurts.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Intersting ICO's on Horizon on: June 11, 2016, 06:42:47 PM
You can follow ICO's coming here: http://www.icocountdown.com/ (Any others to follow ICO's on?)

I was excited about LISK and then WAVES, maybe a little bit of the DAO. Nothing on the immediate horizon excites me, but there are some interesting ones listed for later on.
If you see anything coming, would be interesting to know why...

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES Price speculation on: June 11, 2016, 08:32:49 AM
Mycelium is already inetrested in Waves fiat possibilities, more will follow because of fiat, if successful integration i see price beyond $5.

mycelium is a no name scam company and it is located in Cyprus, your bank account and all the fiat could disappeared from your account at anytime, if they can connect to your bank and you allow it to happen.
coinbase is the only secure one with vast resources you can trust at this point to connect to your bank for fiat/bitcoin and bitcoin/fiat.
many scam coins already promised this but all disappeared, included paycoin.

A picture is worth a thousand words:

Vote for Lisk to be added at RAWX (the successor of mcxNOW)! Let's make it take the 1st place in the poll!

LISK #1 (You can vote for up to 4)

Does anybody have answer to this question: What is stopping an exchange like yobit to start trading real waves as soon as ico withdraws are processed? They won't have node code but they can manually do withdraws/deposits. Or am I wrong?

I mentioned that yesterday. The only thing stopping them might be having a proper wallet at their end, so this is going to be a very interesting launch if any exchanges allow trading.
Anyone know about a wallet that can be used by an exchange as well?

if yobit can't have the node nor wallet, i think it could be a reason for price to rise. possible?
Drawback though is that if price is about $1+ this June 14, users will be dumping their coins hoping they can double their btc this halving.

I guess as you and 110110101 said, you need the full node wallet. And something tells me they are not going to get one, seem a little shady with the IOU's and lack of communication - which I read here on the forums.

I don't think the IOU's are very reflective of the actual price, if that is what you mean. It was like that when LISK launched. Though I think Bloombit(?) had a more reasonable IOU price.

Holders will dump if the price rise is too much, just normal way things work in the alt space. It takes time for coins to be distributed and if the tech, partnerships, etc. are any good, they will come.  Grin

210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES Price speculation on: June 10, 2016, 05:49:01 AM
i think it will be traded at lower rate than lisk, after the first P&D, the hype around is not as a great as lisk

technology does not matter much, people only care about speculation, they are only investing to hope for more

they only invest in coins where they see that many other have invested, regardless of tech and what the coin is offering

intrinsic coin value has zero effect basically, on the potential value of the coin itself, if you think otherwise, you must be really new here and very naive...

I'm a bit undecided regarding the P&D and hype.

On the one hand sure, LISK had a lot of Hype but my attraction to LISK was more the tech, even more so than WAVES (at least at first).
On the P&D hand, those ICO funds that started coming in towards the end of the WAVES ICO were HUGE. I mean 800 and 1000 BTC, half a million USD is a lot of money. And I'm not sure all of those people were just in it for the Hype. Big money is also about doing their research, so I have the feeling they might really have done their homework.

I would say I logically expect WAVES to roughly return the same as LISK did post ICO. I guess we will know if the P&D is true or not that first week. My bet is that many are on board for the long ride.

This space is a little bitty baby. I feel strongly that BTC (or ETH) is just getting started price wise (still). Yeah, many missed the sub $100 early adopter phase, but if BTC is to succeed it is going to have a "market cap" in the Trillions. And many of these "alts" will be in the billions. I can honestly see LISK, WAVES, etc. being $5 - $10 in the next year or two. And if one of them really takes off in the financial tech space, we can basically see BTC all over again, just in an accompanying industry.

If someone wants to buy my waves, I have 5503, bought for 2 BTC (including a bit bounty fees). I'll sell it for 10 BTC. You send me the BTC first and I will save your waves address in the "wave address" field in my account, so that you get it when the mainnet is running, or suggest an escrow (e.g. I would accept dooglus or other famous members here that I know, if they want to do it for a small fee). You can contact me by PM, or here in public to be more safe for both sides.

10 BTC  Huh Damn!!

5 x is a little low for waves I think.

+1
Lisk price is x4 now, Waves has a lot of potential

Interesting this has come up. I honestly was convinced that LISK had the most potential of the two. Now, I'm not so sure. The more I look into WAVES the more I see its legitimate case uses. I don't mean that in a bad way against LISK (after all it is 4X its ICO price for a reason) but WAVES sort of snuck up on me - use case wise. The news with Mycelium integration, to me, was actually a bit of a Trojans Horse / hidden promise, sort of announcement. Look into that one guys and then branch out the thoughts...
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 10, 2016, 05:21:47 AM
I just read this part in this medium post by Henry Brade and it said:

"So called lightning network is being built on top of the Bitcoin network and already multiple different implementations exist. The lightning network will eventually increase Bitcoin transaction capacity to thousandfold. Additionally so called sidechains have been thought of as a potential method of scaling Bitcoin and sidechains are also in active development."

Bitcoin seems to have a long way to go til they reach sidechains, but guess which currency focuses on sidechains?Wink

Those sidechains have been coming forever.  I remember them talking about them in late 2013 (and I'm sure that wasn't the beginning).  They are the crypto equivalent of nuclear fusion (which is always 20 years away).

When you have a network whose main function is money and it has a value in the Billions (3-10 Billion in the last 2 years), you can't just implement change quickly. The technical reasons are one aspect and then the open source consensus system just doesn't "give in" to change that quickly (by design.)

All these new tokens and such, can afford to make changes. But if anything should be broken with Bitcoin it would set the whole space back. I'm sure Ethereum or the like would step forward in its absence, but we truly need to tread careful. Though I would say, we are going on the slow side, especially with the block size - that is ridiculous.

It is a bit of a double edged sword.

I notice that login.lisk.io uses a 12 word passphrase. I've heard those are incredibly strong. But I also notice for 5 LISK you can add a 2nd passphrase.
Since these passphrases are random, is that really necessary? Ideas or links appreciated.

Moderator Gezap at Poloniex said that they will add a pair lisk/usd soon. That's definitely good news.

This makes the whole space in general interesting - making Crypto's purchasable with USD/FIAT. Spreads things out quite a bit.
It allows for an easier measure in my mind i.e. - When BTC starts shooting up it isn't necessary that other Cryptos "go down" in BTC.
In other words, in the future, cryptos will more be measured in FIAT (until the time that FIAT is measured in Cryptos  Wink)
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 06, 2016, 04:02:04 PM
Anyone know if there is a paper wallet site for LISK?

Thx in advance.

I think we could use https://login.lisk.io/ as an online wallet (send to it)?
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 06, 2016, 02:08:07 PM
Regarding Yobit and the WAVES price for that matter:

We are witnessing BTC going mainstream. WAVES helps connect it (and services, tokens, etc.) to the FIAT  world.
Chew on that and think - Only 16 million came in....
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 05, 2016, 05:06:22 PM
Yes, I called this earlier.  Grin

I don't normally look at such small time scales as 15 and 30 minutes, but since LISK is really new, anyone notice the ascending triangle about to complete? I think she is going over .001 this coming week.

218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 05, 2016, 03:11:40 PM
Watch out fellas, LISK is rising and its fast.... fasten your seatbelts.

Yess!!

That ascending triangle I mentioned is starting to breakout and up. Let's see if we can go past .001 for good....
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 05, 2016, 10:32:17 AM
I would like to make a request that the Waves team learn from the Lisk mistakes as well as to apply general good practice and spend some BTC to

1. Implement proper servers that can handle the anticipated rush to access the website at launch time.
2. Implement DDoS protection for launch time.
3. Hire an engineer to do a proper architectural design for the network that assures availability as well as security.

All about DDoS attack in Lisk launch was a giant lie. Lisk team have been bunch of incompetents and looking for problems elsewhere they could be except their own area where they are.

Well, we can only hope to "mess up as bad as them" and be up 333% after a week.
I'd be real careful where I throw stones...
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 05, 2016, 10:09:23 AM

That's a good news, I hope we can already transfer our waves from the ICO account so we can see some actions of the trading all around the forum, I bet the price will not be less than 0.001 BTC here.

somebody explain me what warrants at least 4 time price increase from ICO when the waves have not yet done anything, dont have any real deals etc? So far nothing concrete is out that would raise the value of waves over ICO.  I simply have hard time believing that it would be so easy to earn lots of money.

Look at the market potential of this little known space. Imagine the early days of the internet, when AOL, Ebay, Amazon, etc. were just little babies trading for a few dollars.
Well, we are there now regarding FINTEC and where it takes us, is very very difficult to see.

There are Black Swans among us and many are looking for the next one.
I'd say WAVES, because it interacts with and within the financial world, has a WHOLE LOT OF PROMISE.

And understand something, many many people that buy these "tokens" are newer to the game and are not so familiar with ICO's and such.
And also, some of the big money that got in is going to do everything it can to make its investment successful - nothing shocking there.

I'm very very big on WAVES and LISK going forward. The DAO not as much, but here are 3 examples of "We know not what they bring, but it might be big...".

Enjoy the ride.
