1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 04, 2021, 09:02:38 PM
Hello,

I am new to this forum and to crypto currencies.

I just tried to install Parity (OpenEthereum) on Windows and I can't download OpenEthereum v3.0.1
It says "Not found"
I get the same thing for OpenEthereum v3.0.0

https://github.com/openethereum/parity-ethereum/releases

openethereum-windows-v3.0.1.zip   -   https://github.com/openethereum/openethereum/releases/download/v3.0.1/openethereum-windows-v3.0.1.zip

Is the project abandoned?

Can anyone install Parity on Windows?

Is this the right place to ask such questions?

Thanks

There's an active discord group for openethereum where the devs often post. I haven't installed it on Windows but it's working for me on Linux.

I can't connect using Agama Windows client in SPV mode. I tried both SPV servers but get an error that it can't connect to them. It's not my Windows firewall. I've tried 2 windows clients. Can anyone help with troubleshooting? I'm trying native mode but it's going to take hours to download the blocks.

I have same problem too.   Embarrassed
I use 0.2.39beta from official web-site

I do not know that everyone is the same, I solved the same problem by excluding it with Avast Antivirus.

I added Agama app as allowed application on my firewall but it didn't help. I turned off the firewall and Windows Defender and it still gave the error popup in red: "ShepherdElectrumBalance". Anyone seen that error? Interestingly I can access my Supernet and Jumblr and see their transactions but nothing for Komodo tokens. The only difference I see in the connection setting for the KMD token is it uses port 10001.

Which Agama Version - I´m using 2.40 and it works fine

I'm using the available version on the Komodo website: 0.2.39-beta. Where did you get 2.40 from?

I bought some of these coins back in 2013 and haven't looked in the wallet since then. I thought I bought over 100,000 or so but now I only see just over 1000. Was there a fork with 100:1 ratio split since then?

Will this mean that to conduct any transaction in the Byteball wallet (even transferring Bytes to an exchange) we will need to perform this KYC with Jumio?

Are they installing Bitcoin POS machines at each outlet? What payment processor are they using? If they use a Bitcoin payment processor then you don't need to wait for confirmation I believe.

How often will the Revshares have a payout? I finally was able to import my REVS into Agama today, so I think Im a little late for the Christmas payout. Will there be a schedule for payout dates?

Thanks

How did you import your REVS into your Agama wallet? Mine are associated with a different address from my KMD. I have the private key of the REVS wallet but see no where to import it into the Agama wallet.
REVS was from a BTCD snapshot, so you would need to dumpprivkey from BTCD and importprivkey

good thing is you dont need an current blockchain to dumpprivkey, just the wallet.dat

I did dumpprivkey in the BTCD wallet and have the encrypted wallet.dat. How do I importprivkey in the Agama wallet? I was able to do it in a previous version but I see no option to import the BTCD private key in the latest Windows version of Agama.

I can see my REVS in the explorer but can't access them in the Agama wallet. How can I import my BTCD encrypted wallet.dat into Agama? My REVS are linked to my BTCD wallet. I went to the "wallet.dat keys" section and tried to add my BTCD private key for REVS but it says 'wallet encrypted?'. I was able to import the BTCD private key in an older version of Agama or Iguana.

Can anyone help with the above? I manually created a REVS folder under %appdata%/komodo and copied my BTCD wallet.dat file to there but it's encrypted. How can I access my REVS share from the Agama client?
Using your btcd wallet.dat in the revs folder is not the proper way. If you have a btcd wallet.dat then you need to use a btcd wallet. if you meant that you have a KMD wallet.dat then all you need to do is export your privatekeys and import them into the asset chain of your choice. Please open a support ticket at support.komodoplatform.com for further technical assistance.

Thanks, I'll probably open a support ticket. My REVS are in an account that has the same address as my old BTCD wallet and are not linked to my Komodo address where my KMD and other tokens are. I don't know a way to access those REVS in my Agama wallet.

What is this "REVS" you are talking about?

If you bought BTCD before a certain date you were entitled to a 1:1 swap  for the REVS token on the Komodo chain. I think it's tradeable on the Barterdex.

The price jumped quite a bit in the last few hours. Anyone know why? The only recent news I see is about Lisky 0.3.0 from Dec 13.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA from wallet to Binance on: December 09, 2017, 01:28:25 AM
Anyone else experiencing over a 24 delay moving IOTA from wallet to Binance?  I've never cashed in any yet and I wanted to see how it worked to go from IOTA to BTC instead of my usual BTC to IOTA.  I successfully transferred from wallet to Binance yesterday morning and tried again yesterday afternoon but it STILL says Pending?

Is there a Re-attach technique for transferring IOTA out of wallet like there is for retrieving IOTA into wallet?

I had mixed results when transferring to Binance this week. Some transactions confirmed on first attempt. One transaction took 3 hours and 3 re-attaches. I also switched nodes after a failed attempt.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: December 06, 2017, 12:22:13 AM
If it takes so long for users to confirm transactions (with re-attaching and changing nodes multiple times etc) how can this reliably handle IoT traffic?

Sssst, don’t ask the obvious. We are having a bull party right now.

Hey, I want this bull to sustain new highs and consolidate - not lose steam because the tech can't deliver.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: December 05, 2017, 08:26:35 PM
How is it possible to send from the same address in the light wallet? I see no option to chose the send from address. So I assume the send from address is changing every time I send a transaction?

Depends on which OS you are ?

I use Windows - and it works fine in the SPV Lite Mode

I using Ubuntu-Mate. In version 0.2.0.23a. I don't see an option ot switch to SPV mode in the settings. The other issue is I can't shut down the application properly without either killing the process or logging off.

I installed the deb package for version 0.2.0.23a-beta on Ubuntu and when I try to launch the KDM lite mode I get the error: "DASHBOARD.SPV_CONN_ERROR_SPV1" and "DASHBOARD.SPV_CONN_ERROR_SPV1". What's going on? I have an older version installed (non deb package) which works fine.

install the newest version

https://artifacts.supernet.org/latest/

Which one do I install if I want to run a lite client - iguana; komodo-cli or komodod ?
