Hello everyone! I am happy to announce that thanks to a community member (Chris from TwenteMining) we now have a detailed guide on how to start multi GPU mining on Ubuntu. Thank you Chris! ACCESS THE GUIDE HEREWe are also working on enabling mining on Windows as well. Best, Vlad approximately when the Windows miner will be released? That's also my question. Hope the dev can set a timeline. How profitable to mine AE with GPU compared to other mineable coins now? Who know? Don't bother.....there are 6 miners mining 95% of all blocks and the development teams responce is basically "it's open source.....write your own miner". Obviously a few did and that miner is absolutely dominating the chain. I am a bit disappointed in current "decentralization".....I hope it is taken seriously. |

Hello everyone! We have some great news for you! The launch of æternity's Mainnet is fast-approaching and users will soon have the opportunity to transfer their AE tokens to the æternity blockchain. To prepare you for the migration process, we just published a detailed explanation of how it will work. It includes screens from the step-by-step token migration guide (web page) that we will bring online once token migration becomes possible. Hey everyone, We at æternity believe that decentralization is the essence of public blockchain technology and keeping mining distributed is a serious issue. ASIC resistance is not a long-term solution and one of the possible ways to achieve a real decentralization is to create open-source ASIC designs, so anyone can build ASICs. As for marketing, having mind the stage the project is in, we believe we are doing a good job. We are constantly posting updates new information in the blog and spreading that around. As the project matures, you can expect even more exciting news. Regarding partnerships - we are constantly on the lookout for those. Any new partners will be announces as soon as any formal relations have been defined and finalized. Regards, The AE Team This is good to hear as the crypto space matures more individuals are less driven by the bits and bytes and more by "real world applications". The focus/updates to date has been the very technical but for long term success there needs to be a balance. It is easy to get caught up in the "build a better mousetrap and it will sell itself"......that is not always the case. You could have the best technological solution in the world but if no one knows about it or doesn't understand it than we have missed the mark. Just my thoughts! |

Little Help?
Had an R9 280X GPU GPU laying around and decided to add it to a rig. This rig had (4) Radeon 390 (ASUS STRIX R9 390). The miner recognizes the card but errors out on "Cannot build OpenCL program for GPU 0"
Running Ubuntu 16.04
Any help or direction to look would be appreciated.
