I'm somewhat confused. Is the xeline wallet developed by the official elastic dev team or an independent one?
The original tweet talking about scientists blowing our minds does not make it very clear, though it seems to suggest the latter case.
Yet people here talk about xeline.org as if it were the new official elastic site.
If it is an independent team, it is very encouraging to see them have enough faith in the value of the project to actually go through with something like this
xeline wallet or if you want xel command center is indeed developed by independent xeline development team. In collaboration with ek ofc. xeline.org is not a replacement to an official elastic website, its rather an enrichment and an awesome addition to the elastic project. Website itself is work in progress and will contain basic insight and introduction to the project, with all important links to social and dev resources.

Donations is so humanized. Nice work guys. There are several projects claiming to build decentralized supercomputer, such as SONM, Golem and they are very close to do it. Golem is releasing beta soon and SONM will roll out production ready in August. What ELA offers in better way? Thanks
I second this question and would like to ask. Whats next now? if you haven't already, i would recommend you guys get your hands dirty and try out uploading and mining work packages (simple sample). few of us did it and it works like a swiss clock. next step is that ek will give us more complicated sample to mine and actually earn bounties for submitted shares, for now bounties are set to 0. of course this all is happening on testnet atm. it would also be cool if some devs would join and code even more work packages in ePL so we can do more intensive testing.. so far supercomputer works as promised, there is more work with frontend but backend mechanics is working as intended. huge respect to ek and coralreefer, amazing work with ePL, xel miner and core client.

We are delighted to announce the launch of our public testnet - an amazing step forward in our Elastic revolution!! amazing update, thank you ek: coralrefeer: mr.coinzy and all involved. no fancy website and no tons of funds.. 0 marketing.. jet one of the really really rare projects that actually delivered something of value.. not only to xel community but to the whole blockchain and decentralized movement. real cypherpunk project. from today xel has real utility and real blockchain use case. like ek said, you decide if it will be a blue pill or a red pill.

Sounds like we might be down a developer? I'm sure Unvoid and Ek are still coding away on the mainnet. Sad to see Coral go.
Isn't this old news? Coral might have been helping now and then but has left quite a while now. Unvoid even before him. The only main dev has always been EK Oh shit, unvoid is gone too? What the hell is going on? Sad to hear. I guess it's just EK coding away now on the mainnet? As I said that has been the case most of the time anyway. It's always been mostly EK with some help from now and then. Nothing to worry about. At least not because of this. I thought this was the case too, just EK had asked CR to help him to do something - I can't remember what though. EK can take all the time in the world to finish creating Elastic. CR offer to make XEL-Miner and help with ElasticPL, to me it looks like both task are done and can be optimized by other contributors. "only" thing left is Core Client that will handle whole computing part. And yes, i agree. EK should take all the time in the world to finish what he started and in the process ignore trolls. Plenty of us who will fight them.

If you think about it, it is really sad how little effort people put in to find out anything themself, before expecting others to do their work for them.
exactly, personaly i am blaming ICO mentality that flooded cryptosphere in 2017. So those ICO "companies" use their funds to give "investors" what they want to see, flashy roadmaps, cool graphics and much promises in regular basis. Tech innovations however are rarely to be found..

Can anyone please share the steps to start forging? The freaking tutorial (and interface) is mind-numbing.
i need something like that too. Infact i don't even know what forgin is...can someone explain or link me something? Forging is nothing more than verifying Blocks for their validity also know as POS (Proof of Stake). In the process you get rewarded with transaction fees on your validated Block. You need to have minimum 1000XEL on your balance to Forge, you can start Forging after your balance is confirmed for 1440+ blocks. To start Forging you need to have local node running 24/7 and activate it with click of the button.

Is there a roadmap or timeline for this project that defines the project goals and when they're expected to be reached?
no, just a bunch of people that dont have to work for fiat and doing this for fun. hope this helps. there are goals though :p sure, how does first decentralized supercomputer with self programmable use-cases sound? after tech is deployed, maybe we can have some kind of PR roadmap.. thats still in the stars though. limitless? self programmable sounds more like it thanks for correcting me. sounds better, yes. edited!

... 10000 individuals, they wont all of a sudden agree to stop helping
Of course they dont, that would be a great foolishness from the miners' side(if I can call them "miners"). Cause such companies as B.C. will lost every trace of confidence in Elastic platform(in platform generally, although the situations was caused by community in this case). I'm talking about unauthorized and authorized global failure of the platform. How such big clients can be protected from this? This is the relevant question from the category of trust. Category, which should be excluded by decentralization, blockchain, cryptocurrencies and etc. i see one flaw here, you see company B.C. Doesn’t make a contract with elastic project but instead when in need buys computing resources timley limited to XEL bounty it offers. Elastic is a trustless system, as such no need for B.C. To trust anything other than elastic platform executing task correctly.
