It really sucks when you want to buy and you can't. This registeration issue is surprising because from user point of view Nova is a great exchange. Just bought 1000 Onion more last night off there.

I have nothing against it. At the same time I have no idea can you use a registered trademark as a cryptocurrency abbreviation.
I know it's better to be safe than sorry with this kinda thing. But It's not my call anyway so it's really irrelevant what I think about it.

The onion is the symbol of the idea of tor network, so perhaps you're right that using it could be good but the graphic design must be fully original to Torcoin. Copying some brand and graphics is the most unprofessional thing you can do, really. "Marketing people" of the 3rd world countries do it. Torcoin in that boat, anyone?

"TOR" is not used as brand or marketing name here. "Torcoin" is. And "Torcoin" is not a registered trademark.
Perhaps it would be good to change the abbreviation to TRC or TCN something.. I don't see a clear benefit for using "TOR". Why keep it?

However, using that exact onion graphic by Tor Project is violating copyright law. In fact the onion should be removed from the branding alltogether. Then they will HELP YOU gaining recognition and that's a massive potential since their network of IT professionals is massive. However, that won't be easy and it won't help you replying their Tweets on Torcoin "GET STUFFED". That's not how you build business. You build business by showing them you are at the top of your game and a smart, experienced businessman and creating something valuable for them and people. You build business by creating win-win schemes and the Tor Project is what YOU need to create a win-win with. If you won't put your act together, someone will rip your idea and make it professional.
