701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Brand new D3 multiple errors on: December 28, 2017, 07:56:31 PM
yes i mean the hashboards.

Not zeros just vanished.

It displays only one hashboard.

I saw a couple of days your post and changed the Ethernet cable.

tried different controller cables.

Did hard reset around 3 times and flash the new firmware.

No luck.

The only thing i didn't try is to change PSU(i use bitmain`s original apw3++ psu)

I will receive 8 new ones this Saturday and i will try this step as well.

Anyone alse?Huh

I see. I guess yours is a different issue. For me, i changed a right angled ethernet cable from a certain manufacturer to normal ethernet cable from a different manufacturer and the hashboard appeared. Worked for a few of us here.

Hope the PSU does it for u man. It would still suck a little but psu is still far cheaper than a board problem lol.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Brand new D3 multiple errors on: December 28, 2017, 07:16:01 PM
When u say 3 blades, u mean the hashboard 000000 ?
First thing is to reset the machine of course.
I had a hashboard on my S9 go missing and apparently changing ethernet cable to a better quality one fixed it after a reset.

Not sure about D3 but might be the same. U can check some of my posts. It has worked for others as well. It could also be something else of course.
703  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking Bitmain Antminers (S7 & S9) because man a lot of these break...... on: December 28, 2017, 07:05:23 PM
This means one way to improve it is to open it up put our own heatsink glue and cover it 100%? Hmm but messing with the board means the 6 month warranty is gone I guess. Noob here.
Do u think this is why some antminers are hotter/colder than others? It is due to the heatsink glue?

Hmmm, perhaps u can buy a dead hashboard from someone and salvage some chips. One dead hashboard with some chips can help fix alot of other hashboards?
704  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Is there a chart that shows profitability of mining in the past?? on: December 28, 2017, 06:07:03 PM
A chart to show the profitability of mining in the past??
I wanna input the hashrate and the electricity cost and it brings out a chart of how much profit per month it would make, now and in the past.
I know market rate is good now but it tends to go down.
705  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Network Hashrate Growing at .05% per day!!! 5k s9's on: December 28, 2017, 10:50:30 AM
Imo, CNBC,bloomberg, etc are screwing things up with too much crypto news to the point it pumps btc up too much quickly and is gonna over-saturate the mining market. It is no good for anyone at this rate.
706  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: December 28, 2017, 08:27:38 AM
I agree, everyday that goes by I become more and more convinced that the BTC I sent halong mining is gone forever.  I hope I'm wrong.  No one to blame but myself.  I am glad the community here is trying to get to the bottom of this.

Have faith buddy. Have faith. Rest well tonight. Your BTC is in good hands. Hit me up on Telegram or Skype and we can chat some more if you'd like. You have nothing to worry about.

One newbie = inferno22  says he laid out coin

second newbie = offordscott   say have no fear  talk to me on skype.

So I guess we will soon be hearing how  all is well  and inferno22  got his gear  and will be doing a few photos/review

Can not wait to see it. ( or maybe I will wait and it won't appear)

Both nicks created recently and both have same local time though.

How is it is so hard to take a picture and a 2 minute video these days especially when we all have handphones with great cameras that are with us all the time....
707  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Buying mini hydroelectric powerplant for mining operation on: December 27, 2017, 07:32:25 PM
I was thinking of buying a small hydroelectric powerplant and start a mining operation.

How many miners could a say 17KW powerplant power? I would have some BTC and some GPU miners.

Is this a good plan. Would this work, or is it not worth it? Say the "powerplant" would cost like 50k$.

Any suggestions?

How can a powerplant cost 50k? It is bound to cost a hell lot more?
708  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Network Hashrate Growing at .05% per day!!! 5k s9's on: December 27, 2017, 07:29:27 PM
With bitmain, avalon and ebit all selling good miners next year....that cant be good for difficulty level. And miner prices are higher.
709  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 25, 2017, 09:45:39 AM

can somebody tell me what wrong with my S9 miner?? Just run for one month. Can I fix it at home??? please help me
Looks like a board gave up. Try power cycle it, see if it comes back.
do you mean restart the miner???
Yes, unplug it, wait a couple of mins, plug it back again. Maybe save the kernel log if you haven't rebooted yet? Maybe the board comes back up? Kernel log after the reboot may tell you what is going on with that board. Also look at the red led in the board, when mine broke that led never turned on again.
The led still red, this is what my kernel log last show, anything helped??

Replacing ethernet cable to a higher quality one might work. Yes, i know it sounds silly buy it worked for me and a few of us. Check out my previous post on it. Recently worked for one more fellow
710  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: One Temp Chip Missing Antminer S9... on: December 24, 2017, 03:37:59 PM
It worked!!! Changed the Ethernet cable and the chip went back on... thanks a lot guys!

I see. Glad it worked for u too man. Welcome
711  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to tell if an Antminer S9 is working? on: December 24, 2017, 02:57:21 PM
If u can connect to a pool, it shows hashing and status page shows all 3 boards working, it should be ok. I dunno if they will stop working a few hours later though. I guess that is unlikely.
That price is really good at the moment. Also check when did he buy it.
712  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: One Temp Chip Missing Antminer S9... on: December 24, 2017, 11:33:19 AM
My board appeared after i changed ethernet wire and this was also the case for woodginns. I know it sounds silly. I changed a right angled one to a normal higher quality piece.
Please stop this nonsense already. You posted this BS 10s of times.

It isnt nonsense and it has worked for at least 3 people now. I have tested and it is the ethernet wire for that miner. I thrown it away and bought quality ones. Before that, I have resetted multiple times (all 3 reset types), changed to 2 new bitmain PSUs and new psu cable. That didnt work. It is that ethernet wire. For some odd reason, lower quality ethernet wire can cause the miner to only show 2 hashboards.
713  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: could faster internet help mining on: December 22, 2017, 06:48:51 PM
Latency to the pool you choose should be a consideration.
Getting work to and from the pool servers quickly allows you to run optimally.

How to do that?

716  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: One Temp Chip Missing Antminer S9... on: December 22, 2017, 06:09:28 AM
Hello, I just bought an Antminer S9, it was running fine for 3 days, decided to change the wire for a better wire since the one I had wasnt really good. I turned it back on now and I saw that one Temp Chip is missing, so basically im doing 9-10THs instead of 14THs... Anyone know why is this happening? Thank you.

U mean u change the ethernet wire?

Change it back to the old ethernet wire.
I had a hashboard show up after a better ethernet wire was used. Weird but true and this happened on 2 different miners!!
717  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 8 official specs released on: December 22, 2017, 05:58:01 AM
We still need more manufacturers.

Actually no... more manufacturers means more difficulty level

14th/s have issues I have a lot of them.

Changed ethernet cable oddly worked for me man...on 2 occasions lol
