1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 10x coin? on: December 19, 2018, 02:18:58 AM
Spectrecoin (XSPEC) appears to be on the verge of a major rally.  10x (from here) by month end, or at least by early January, would not surprise me one bit.  I think it could go over 20x; judging by its all-time chart on CMC, it sure looks primed for an explosive rally.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: March 03, 2018, 03:29:14 AM

The default is 5%....that is for every 100 stakes you receive five of them are donated.
A stake reward currently consists of 2.15~ xspec.
i personally have my wallet set for 50%.....so every other stake reward goes to support our devs and project.
I get one they get the next one.

You can adjust this in the wallet/client under options>staking donation
while there be sure your staking is enabled by the check mark in the box right above.

And Thank you for your support

Thank you for pointing this out.  I saw the slider was preset to donate 5% of the staking rewards to ongoing development, and for some reason I thought that was the maximum setting, so I left it at that.

I have now set the donation higher.  Our hard working devs deserve all the XSPEC they can get.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I chose not to invest in SpectreCoin (XSPEC) now on: February 15, 2018, 09:56:27 PM
It does not matter whether brycl exists or not when releases are happening, perhaps he's trying to shift the blame on someone else for this controversial cryptocurrency which has illegal implemented tech and you are just too naive to understand why. Although this is not even the case as Bryce has spoken with the community.
Again, false, Bryce has never spoke with the community. Stop spreading misinformation, or bring some facts instead.

Hate to break it to you, but you are the one spreading the misinformation on this one.  I personally witnessed Bryce's interaction with the community, on Slack last year.  I know of only one instance where he was active on Slack, but he (or someone with his Slack account) definitely spoke with the community on at least one occasion.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hidden Gems For 100x 2018 on: January 09, 2018, 03:21:02 AM
XSPEC is one of the coins which had a spectacular run in the past few weeks, but that was just a preview.  This is one coin that is serious about delivering on the privacy and anonymity front, and its existing technology along with its ambitious roadmap, bear this out.  Mark my word: By the end of this year, Spectrecoin will be well known as one of the top trending privacy coins in all of crypto - right alongside Monero.  Right now it is still relatively little known, but that is not likely to stay the case for long.

It may be a stretch to expect this coin to turn 100x from here in a year - but then again, maybe not.  That would merely put it at Monero's current price, and by the end of this year Monero will almost certainly be multiples of what it is now.  Bottom line: The up-and-coming privacy coin XSPEC is set to deliver life changing returns this year, for those who buy and HODL.  Don't miss out on it while it is yet a steal at under $5.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2k+2 months = 10x ? on: January 09, 2018, 02:50:56 AM
I strongly recommend Spectrecoin (XSPEC).  It is an up-and-coming privacy coin with robust technology, innovative features, and a motivated community of true believers supporting it.  It features extremely fast, 30-60 second confirmation times, and its PoS v3 low power staking returns an incredible 5%-plus per year in staking returns to those who HODL and keep their wallets open for staking.  This little known privacy coin is about to take the market by storm: Its brand new, state-of-the-art website debuted just today, it has a newly expanded team working hard to move it up the charts, and a new wallet update (v1.3.4) is set to debut in the next 48 hrs.

This is a coin to take seriously.  It had a spectacular run in the past month, and is currently consolidating before moving higher.  XSPEC should easily hit $20-40 in the next few months; right now it is a steal at less than $5, but this will not likely remain the case for much longer.  I strongly recommend getting yours now.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the best coins to buy right now? on: January 06, 2018, 06:46:12 AM
Spectrecoin is just starting its third leg up in a major rally (see the XSPEC 3-month chart on coinmarketcap); this one is gearing up to be spectacular.  There will be a wallet update and a sleek new website coming out within a week, which will add fuel to the fire.

Long term, XSPEC has even more going for it.  It is a robust privacy coin with 60-second transaction speeds, ultra low fees, and a low energy consumption PoS algorithm.  People are just starting to hear about it, and it has a motivated community of true believers supporting it.  This coin is here for the long haul.  It is currently a steal at under $5.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XEL, XSPEC, MUE - 10X soon on: January 06, 2018, 06:36:00 AM
Expect at least 10X returns from these. Let me know if any others share my thoughts on these coins.

What time frame are we talking about?

I definitely see XSPEC yielding MUCH higher than 10x long term; 100x is more like it, if you HODL it.  It should hit 10x this year, no sweat.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best privacy coin? on: January 05, 2018, 12:35:55 AM
Spectrecoin is one to keep an eye on, especially right now.  It had a spectacular run late last month, and has taken a bit of a breather since then.  But don't let that fool you: XSPEC has some exciting developments coming up in the next few days, and soon it will be off to the races again.  There is a wallet update (v1.3.4) coming out early next week, along with a sleek new website built by members of the Spectrecoin community, and there is an expanded marketing campaign underway.

The best part is, when you peel back the hype and look under the hood, this coin has substance like few other privacy coins.  Between its existing and upcoming features, it has both network privacy and transactional anonymity locked down.  It has ultra fast transaction speeds and the fees are negligible.  This coin is poised to be the go-to privacy coin for replacing everyday cash.  It could easily reach $50 this year, yet right now you can still get it for less than $5.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best coin for 2018 that is very cheap now? on: December 31, 2017, 08:51:59 PM
In your personal opinion, what's the cheapest coin or token with the best fundamentals to hold in 2018?

cheers!

Privacy coins are the sector that will very likely outshine all others in 2018, as governments increasingly impose onerous restrictions (as well as rapacious taxation policies for crypto, such as those recently unveiled in the U.S.).

XSPEC is the most undervalued alt coin in the privacy space.  Not only does it have a low circulating supply of 21 million, it has some of the most robust privacy tech of any privacy coin, between its existing features and upcoming ones which will be implemented in 2018.  Right now, the price of XSPEC should be at least $20, given those two factors, yet it is currently a steal at under $5.  As the roadmap gets implemented throughout the coming year, including several groundbreaking innovations (such as the first ever stealth staking protocol), I expect this coin to easily reach $50 in 2018 - and much higher in coming years.   This is both a rocket to riches, and a keeper.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 2 altcoins to invest in NOW. on: December 31, 2017, 08:13:39 PM
For me it is Monero and Spectrecoin.  Both are top notch privacy coins, and privacy coins are going to be the next big thing.

Monero is further along in its development, and more expensive, but also the surest bet in the privacy sector.  I expect it to go to $1000 at least in the coming year.  It is that good.  However, that would be barely a 3x return for your investment, from here.

Spectrecoin is still relatively lesser known, but starting to get some attention for its superior privacy tech, and is still WAY undervalued at less than $5 per coin.  It is just starting to take off again after a short breather; this could be one spectacular surge coming up.

Long term is where XSPEC is really going to shine.  There are several exciting new features on the roadmap, including the first ever stealth staking protocol in any cryptocurrency, and it is about to receive a sleek new website design that is fitting for this first rate privacy coin.  I expect it to reach at least $50 in 2018.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spectrecoin Introduces 'Stealth Address Staking' - An Innovation in Privacy on: December 31, 2017, 02:36:34 AM
What is a concern to me is that all these newbie accounts created to spam this forum with Spectrecoin, snip...

This exactly. There is a user I don't remember the name that has put the same Spectrecoin post across half the topics I am watching. And I even received PM about it form some newbie. To me that is clear spamming and I choose not to be part of that community. The same goes for Deep Onion.

The coin looks good on paper and private coins are very popular at the moment and if there wasn't such aggressive marketing I would have already invested in it.

Thats terrible investment advice. I didn't post any investment advice. For all I know Spectre could be best coin out there. I just said i will skip it because of aggressive marketing.

And Spectrecoin has every feature DeepOnion has and many more. Nor does the Dev control the majority supply. Don't compare the two. I really know almost nothing about both of them. I just compered marketing techniques. Which I don't approve.

Spamming by definition is:

irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients. And I believe that unwanted PM to my inbox about coins I am not interested in, are well inside that definition.

I see the content here both relevant on a cryptocurrency forum and certainly profitable had you followed the 'Spam' you've received. This is grassroots community driven marketing. We aren't sock puppets and its a beautiful thing. I agree that this topic is OK. And I have no problems about things written here. That is why I read topics like this to find investment opportunity. I have a problem when I see people pushing info about Spectre (and Deep Onion) in totally unrelated threads.

I have commented in green in your quote above but I will repeat myself here once more. I don't have anything against Spectre it seems like good investing opportunity from what I read about it which I admit is not that much. Only problem I have related to it is IMHO too aggressive marketing campaign and that is a reason why I will not invest in it. I could be doing it wrong but I feel much better if I find the project compered to situation where everyone around me is saying something is the best Smiley

Trofo, I apologize on behalf of the SpectreCoin community for any unsolicited PM's you may have received, as well as posts in unrelated threads where mention of a specific coin unrelated to the thread would be inappropriate.  This behavior goes against our community guidelines, and quite frankly, our culture.  While it is not possible to control every community participant's behavior, we do actively and strongly discourage any spammy or unprofessional behavior or posts.

I would welcome a personal message from you indicating who is doing this, complete with screen shots, so the issue can be addressed at the source.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Coins for 2018 you need to HODL! on: December 30, 2017, 03:11:43 AM
The coins to HODL are the ones with solid tech, an active dev team and a motivated community.

Privacy coins with solid tech are especially desirable for HODLing, as the demand for them will skyrocket as governments increasingly try to surveil, tax, and control anything crypto related.  When evaluating a privacy coin for long term investment, make sure its tech delivers both network privacy (protection against IP surveillance) as well as transactional anonymity (protection against blockchain analysis).  Covering both of these bases (either in terms of existing technology or in the planning/development stage) is a must for a good privacy coin, yet many privacy coins only cover one but not the other.  Be sure to look at a coin's existing features as well as its roadmap, when evaluating its long term potential.

One such coin is XSPEC; it is a robust privacy coin that is on the cusp of taking the world by storm.  It is (as of yet) a steal at less than $5.

I'm putting my money on XSPEC (SpectreCoin).  It is a lesser known coin which aspires to be the go-to privacy coin for small remittance applications.  It has a sleek, easy to use wallet, rapid 60-second transaction speeds, native Tor integration (never leaves the Tor network), and pays a generous 5% per year in staking rewards.  Right now this coin is a steal at less than $5 per coin.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Small cap hidden gems? on: December 27, 2017, 04:21:25 AM
I'm looking for suggestions on small cap coins that are intended to be used as currency or have a unique offering. Small cap being under $5m to $100m. Does anyone have a few hidden gems that they would like to share?

One coin that hits bulls-eye for your criteria is Spectrecoin.  It has a current m-cap between $30-40 million.  It aspires to become the go-to privacy coin for small remittances - a Hawala-like, 100% private and anonymous, peer-to-peer digital cash.  Development is well under way; current features include a sleek and easy to use wallet with native Tor integration (meaning, it operates at all times within the Tor network - no entry or exit nodes), OBFS4 obfuscation protocol which enables use in Tor-blocked countries, ring signatures for transactional anonymity, ultrafast 60-second transaction speeds, encrypted passphrase, and low power staking which yields 5% per year in staking rewards to users who keep their wallets open for staking.  Upcoming features include default stealth addresses (goodbye rich list!), stealth staking (first ever in crypto history), stealth transaction facility with exchanges, an advanced first-of-its-kind ring signature protocol (Ghost Protocol), and the Spectre Cash small remittance Android app for peer-to-peer anonymous transactions.

Spectrecoin has some very dynamic and positive developments unfolding behind the scenes right now.  Look for XSPEC's newly revamped website, in the next week or two.  In the meantime, check out the wiki page, and come say hi to our vibrant community on slack:

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is your guys' opinion on my portfolio? on: December 26, 2017, 06:33:11 PM
I think it is a solid portfolio for the long run.  The one that is least likely to be around for the long haul, in my opinion, is XRP.  It is a technology whose fate is tied to that of the dinosaur fiat establishment.  It is likely to do well in the short to medium term, though; I just do not trust it as a long term investment.

XSPEC stands out as the race horse of your portfolio.  It is deeply undervalued, but has some very dynamic developments under right way now, which should raise its visibility, price and ranking substantially in the coming weeks.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Please recommend me 1 best Altcoin to buy on: December 26, 2017, 05:50:02 AM
SpectreCoin is the rising star to hitch your wagon to.  After lagging in the rankings and in price for months, due to a skeleton crew of a team, the community of investors and hardcore believers in the SpectreCoin vision of a Hawala-like, 100% private and anonymous electronic cash for small remittances have risen to the occasion and added their wide ranging talents to the XSPEC team.  Have you ever heard of a community of investors being so enamored with the concept they invested in, that they literally stepped up to the plate to join the team??  Well, that is what just happened over the past few weeks with SpectreCoin.  This is not something to take lightly.  The newly emerging SpectreCoin team may well be one of the most motivated in all of crypto.

The Spectre Project's dev team, consisting of two experienced cryptographers, are still hard at work churning out first rate groundbreaking privacy and anonymity tech, and are on track to deliver the SpectreCoin vision in full in the coming year.  The lead dev is still the project manager.  But, now the Spectre Project has a marketing team and a graphics team, a web developer and public relations director, all drawn from the ranks of true believers among current investors.

This coin is very likely on the brink of an explosion.  Just remember - you heard it here first.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About this Spectrecoin(XSPEC) on: December 26, 2017, 05:24:56 AM
Spectre is a flop. Look at deeponion instead, the community is huge because the dev team was not gready and wanted ICO money. Deeponion dev team are giving the coins away for free!!

Funny that you say that, considering that the SpectreCoin dev team holds absolutely zero ICO money themselves.  By your own admission, the DeepOnion dev team is financially supporting the marketing efforts of the community.   In sharp contrast, the SpectreCoin devs are themselves financially supported by a highly motivated community of true believers, who happen to run the marketing efforts on their own with zero compensation, because they are THAT determined to help bring the SpectreCoin vision of a Hawala-like, 100% private and anonymous, peer-to-peer electronic cash for small remittances to fruition.

Which team would you put your money on in the long run?

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SAFEST ALTCOINS TO INVEST IN? on: December 26, 2017, 03:47:19 AM
i am not looking to make a huge profit, just modest gains and minimal chance of loss. Any altcoins?

I think the altcoin that best fits your criteria is Monero.  It is a solid privacy coin with a firm toehold in the top ten of all cryptocurrencies, and has a long track record of outperforming Bitcoin with remarkable consistency.  It is THE leading privacy coin by a wide margin, and can reasonably be called the gold standard in privacy coins.  The fact that it is a privacy coin, is an important distinction: As governments impose ever more onerous restrictions on the flow of capital and private transactions, privacy coins will experience a major surge in popularity.  No less of a legend than John McAfee agrees: https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/941003398215761922

If you wanted life changing gains on a relatively small investment, there are other coins I could recommend.  But, for slow and steady, relatively safe gains, XMR would be my top pick, hands down.
