Pool up and running @ http://hyc.scryptmining.com

Let me know how it goes.  2% fee, stratum only, Proportional per share payouts.

Great pool. Working really well.

Sweet, thanks!  Feel free to check out my others if you happen to switch coins at some point Wink

Very nice job. Seems the hashrate is sticking nice. Thanks to all the supporters!

Cart I'll bring one up with your settings.  Can you paste both networks.py fiiles ?  Thx

That would be awesome! Lets avoid the DGC P2Pool situation where everyone is on their own. Will work on this after dinner...which is getting cold because I cant get off the forum Smiley

Lol, I know how you feel!
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [CLOSED][GIVEAWAY][HyperCoin][HYC] 600 HYC to Giveaway! 5 HYC each! on: May 29, 2013, 03:20:46 AM
Hey guys  Grin

I will be giving away 5HYC to every person that posts their Hypercoin's address here. Grab yourself a few free coins!
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 03:10:03 AM
This seems like an OK coin:

1. Very small premine (only 128k TOTAL are in circulation right now)
3. Low orphan/reject rates at difficulty of 0.11170942
4. Low block reward (25). No random blocks.  No huge early blocks.
5. 40 seconds is a good time between blocks.  Long enough to be secure but fast enough to facilitate quick transactions
8. Source on github instead of megafileshare

These are my favorite points. Fuck it, I'm in.

Cheesy Awesome brother!

89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][UPDATED] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 02:45:37 AM
Network approaching 150 mh/s.  difficulty has increased to .44683767

Quick start for this coin

Very much so!

Setting up for solo mining:
Create a hypercoin.conf file in %Appdata%/Roaming/hypercoin/
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rcpallowip=192.168.1.*
rpcport=7452
port=7453
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
addnode=82.211.31.244

Wait a sec... aren't the ports WRONG in the original post?! I see the wallet client using 17453 not 7453. If that's the case wouldn't it make sense to make rpcport=17452?

(offline for a couple of hours but I'll be back later)

yep, got connections now)

Can we change rpcport to 17453?

Check original post I updated it for you guys Smiley

This seems like an OK coin:

1. Very small premine (only 128k TOTAL are in circulation right now)

2. Windows client, with correct port opened, made 65 connections

3. Low orphan/reject rates at difficulty of 0.11170942

4. Low block reward (25). No random blocks.  No huge early blocks.

5. 40 seconds is a good time between blocks.  Long enough to be secure but fast enough to facilitate quick transactions

6. Working windows client and working linux code at launch

7. Cool name and icon

8. Source on github instead of megafileshare

I don't agree.  Number 6 on your list is correct, but with one caveat.  The instructions for mining the coin which instruct all miners which ports are used were incorrect.  Only those of us that noticed the windows client using a different port were able to mine.  These kind of mistakes with the pre-mine don't make this a very good launch IMO.

The ports are correct. I mined with those ports no problem. I understand after looking at the netstat this the wallet that it is using 17453 and 17452. It was an honest mistake. But I still mined no problem solo.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Thanks for the support brother. Also I noticed, out of all the Spamcoins that have came out in the past week, this coin (even though I don't consider it a spamcoin) seems to have less hate-directed comments towards it (except ofc hydroponica) Thank you everybody for the support!

500 HYC mined, 33 transactions.  Very low orphan/reject rate right now.  Using Windows Client

Awesome Cheesy:D

Anyone else notice, that noone is buying this coin?

You seriously have nothing better to do than waste your time trying to flame this coin?
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 01:14:32 AM
Starting to roll in now 375 HYC, 28 transactions

Awesome Smiley
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 01:09:17 AM
Is the windows client/wallet working for anyone?
I can use it for solo mining but it locks up just after it starts.

Hmm, that's odd. Did you try to run it as admin?
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 12:25:37 AM

Oh my lord you're dumb. I could provide a similar picture from when I mined SXC with my rig. It's what solo mining looks like, dumbfuck.

Oh boy, you again. Read the thread, you inbred hick. And, if he had THAT high of a hashrate, he'd be pointed at BTC, and not wasting his time on this shit

For someone with a reputable coin in your profile picture. You sure are making it look bad by all of this talking. Just leave the thread if you don't like it and stop whining.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 12:04:09 AM
Here's my predicition. After 2 or 3 hours, Stevenlam, our botnet friend, will create a thread, WTS, 100k HYC. Those who want a K for their collection, will buy it from him...Then, a couple hours later, more WTS threads will be started...People will buy, here and there, but as time goes on, they will get buried. By noon tomorrow, this thread will be buried, somone else will release a new shit coin, and the cycle will repeat Roll Eyes

Friend? I would refer to him as a petty criminal.

Whine, bitch, moan. You're just mad cause you don't have a botnet.

It's against the law you fool.

Are you for real? That's how they roll nowadays. Get with the program man.
You want to compete with the guy with V8 engine car next door? You need to get a V12 Engine Ferrari.
You need to get yourself a better botnet to survive in this shitcoin race dude.

Well if you approve of stealing from someone to get an advantage, you are truly a scumbag.

Wow, stealing ten cents worth of electricity is SO WRONG.

LOL no. Your stealing hardware usage too. You have control over someone elses property without permission.

From people too stupid to secure their machines and more than likely download and execute pretty much anything. They deserve it.

LOL so if some lady is carrying her purse in her hand I can just run up and take it from her because she didnt secure it properly over arm and around the neck? Cuz she did not secure her purse like she should have?

So, you don't download torrents...Because that's stealing too

Not the same thing. People who DL torrents 99% of them do not sell them for profit.

Care to explain how I am profiting from this?

Haha what a saint.

He is. That should prove he is not a greedy "botnet" hoarder like some of you seem to think he is. All of these coins will go to bounties and to people who help promote the coin. The difficulty will go up, and you won't have to worry about so many orphans with a low timed coin. Smiley

sounds like you're the perfect demographic that these coins target. How do you know all these coins will go to bounties? Did you consider the possibility that maybe he wants to create that appearance, to attract people like you to the coin so in 2hours - 2 days he can dump all his coins at your expense?

Because I created the coin, and I would have premined MUCH more coin if I were gonna dump it all :\
