Can someone explain why DVC hasn't taken off like Namecoin did? I think it's an awesome coin with a great concept. It's on 2 exchanges, but it's still worth almost nothing (read: cheap!)

Name idea: TimeCoin

It is fail because there is basically an endless amount of coins being mined, because the more miners - the more coins there will be. So it doesn't matter if you start mine now or in two months, you should always get the same amount with your hashrate. While this may seem 'fair', on second thought you may realize this is not the solution, as there is no scarcity.

And without scarcity the coin will have no value.

If I understand it correctly, it shouldn't matter when you start mining, since the block reward is directly related to network hashrate, right?

If this is the case, would this coin then not be incredibly inflated as soon as big miners start mining it? I mean the amount of coins would grow exponentially.

This coin seems to be getting more and more established, you can still solo mine and get blocks within reasonable time, even with my 'miserable' 480 kH/s Wink

Gamecoin, can you set the bounties for the games? I think that would move things along even quicker.

Diffulty just increased quite a bit, but still new blocks are found every 2 seconds, how is that possible? Shouldn't it take longer now (like 2.5 mins per block)?
