41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $100,000 and $1,000,000 Bitcoin on: April 06, 2024, 03:02:39 AM
I've done the reading and let me tell you OP, I would advise that you need to collect your thoughts because you're going on a tangent every sentence which leads to your opinion that bitcoin will lead to 1 million USD and I think that you could've easily explained all of that in a much shorter way. Now look at all the posts in your thread, the posts don't take you seriously which is really sad not to mention that you've mentioned cloud mining which we all should've known by now to be a scam and any way, shape or form you say it, you aren't going to excuse yourself that you think it's a legitimate services.
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the halving already priced in? on: April 06, 2024, 02:30:21 AM
At this point, your theory would be valid because bitcoin never had this before which means that it could go with either halving making the price go even higher or lower or stable, what happens after halving because of this happening could be an endless possibility, it will not be the same as when halving starts and passes, expect the price to rise, it's not the case on this one anymore. It's going to be more preparations more than ever too because with all the possibilities, you need to prepare on each situations that would happen; in the case that the price goes up, you need to up your investment game and increase what you're hodling, in the case that it would go down, you need to increase your savings in fiat so you can get more value out of bitcoin and you don't miss out when the price of bitcoin gets cheaper and in the case of stability in prices, probably do both I guess but much more milder.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has BTC really become more attractive than gold? on: April 04, 2024, 09:36:06 AM
They are both for long-term investment but what makes Gold the best option is because we are certain that the price will continue to increase, unlike Bitcoin. Maybe we can say that Bitcoin is more attractive or very popular because we are here in the crypto space but as I've tried asking people around me, they don't even know about Bitcoin. I think, it still needs several years of growth consistency to look more attractive to the people who are doubtful about the use of this project. What we have today was not enough to convince people to invest in Bitcoin because until there are FUDs and negative issues, that also give worry and fear to the community.
Even if that's true, bitcoin would still be my pick, the uncertainty might be anxiety inducing but let me tell you this though, it's definitely something that's worth more than gold and the value you'd get in 5 years with bitcoin comparing that to gold is probably big. It might just be me but I believe that if stability is the reason for you to invest in gold or any stable investment out there, you're probably making the wrong decisions that would lead you to do things that's a bit mediocre when you could've done better. I do agree though that we don't have enough for the convincing part but I think that it's not really our business to do that, it will eventually happen and when it does, those people that weren't convinced early would be regretting that they've doubted bitcoin, let's just revel in their misery of missing out for too long because they were ignorant.
44  Other / Archival / Re: Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ? on: April 04, 2024, 08:49:59 AM
Depends how you see it though, if you see them as short-term investors then they could somewhat be called a fool but if they're investing for the long-term, it's unlikely that it's the case for this one because as we all know, bitcoin's trajectory is always up even if there's a lot of dumps in the price overtime. But I don't think that it's never a foolish move to be investing in bitcoin no matter what time you've invested into or what price you've decided to buy because at the end of the day, investing is a smart thing to do.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the lost BTC? on: April 04, 2024, 07:47:18 AM
Would it be positive for the currency or could bring some caos?
Lost coins are overall good for the market because the maximum supply is much lower and with lower supply and ever increasing demand it will eventually create this artificial scarcity that would raise the price of whatever is on demand which in this case is bitcoin, now that's the perspective of the whole market excluding the person that has lost those bitcoins. I don't even think chaos would even ensue, there's no way that you have been in this market for a long time and you still don't see how chaotic the market is? Bitcoin is a volatile asset that could just dump overnight without any reason or pump for the same thing, that's already chaos OP, no way that bitcoin could get more chaotic than that if you ask me.
46  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Purchase a private key with no balance on: April 04, 2024, 06:57:50 AM
Move this topic to Marketplace in the Goods section, on the lower left, there's a Move Topic, click on it and move it there. Regarding this service though, I don't know if someone's going to let you buy that wallet from 2017 even though it's emptied out, there's no way that people are ever going to even sell you this especially if they've got a transaction in that account because you can basically use that as a way to impersonate the person that have sold you that account. Good luck about your search though, I'm sure that there's someone out there that will see the value in this and don't mind the consequences or the issues that will entail after the transfer of ownership of the wallet.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need some ideas on: April 04, 2024, 03:22:44 AM
I don't know if this is a good idea but I think that it's probably something. Teaching them to be secure about their wallets and how to be secure yourself in crypto space and online in general is a good basics to learn from, that way they're all learning what they can keep using even if they've been, most people remember the foundations compared to when they're already knowledgeable right? Basically my idea is to teach them about cybersecurity because I've seen a lot of seminars of these and most of them are easy to understand and remember and those seminars, you got to pay them and it's probably nice that they can save some money learning the fundamentals of safety online and they're earning from it. I have to say this, really good initiative and I wish I'm in that group of yours because I really love the idea of learning but at the same time, I'm getting paid to learn which is a really good motivation more than anything.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT BRAG ABOUT YOUR BITCOIN on: April 03, 2024, 11:51:10 PM
I created a topic discussing this a few months ago where I stressed the importance of not even speaking about your bitcoin or cryptocurrency holdings what so ever. It’s no one else’s business but your own how much you own or have of anything, therefore, keep it close to the vest, so to speak. Ones finances are private and should remain that way.
Sound advice but what about advocating for the use of bitcoin or cryptocurrency though? I assume that it's going to be difficult to talk about it if you don't say that you're a hodler or hinting that you're a hodler, I know that it might not make sense but the only way to move forward in my opinion with bitcoin adoption or just more people to adopt cryptocurrency is for us to start having more faces than anonymous ones talking about how bitcoin or crypto in general changed our lives. I don't know if this doesn't sound logical to you but to me this makes sense to some degree. But of course, you need to be vigilant about your bitcoin and crypto holdings when you do this since it definitely paints a target on your back, maybe this is a good time to be splitting your assets in different wallets so in the worst case that this happens, you're mitigating the problems.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: April 03, 2024, 06:23:30 PM
See that title? That's not wrong but that's not right also because you don't have to necessarily lose your money gambling, you've got this innate feeling in you that no matter what, you're going to try your best to win but in most people they manifest that feeling which makes it all wrong for everyone gambling, I don't think that's a place you should lose your money no matter what, gambling is all about taking chances, that means there's a chance that you'd win.
50  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can family members help a gambling addict? on: April 03, 2024, 05:23:32 PM
If someone has a gambling problem, hopefully they have loved ones in their life for support.
Yes, thank you for stating the obvious, we wouldn't have figured it out if it wasn't for you and this thread wouldn't be this long, if only you've told us all about this early on.

I think that's an obvious thing when you've grown up in a loving and healthy family, they'll help you and support you in battling that addiction, most of the time, the reason why people hide it from their family is either because they're ashamed of themselves and they've got a family that would rather judge them rather than help them out or they've got the conscience to not bring their family in to the issue which isn't the ideal thing to do but that's how it goes sometimes or it's an entirely simple thing of their addiction is just too bad that if the family knew about it, they would force that person to be getting that therapy by any means necessary.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steelwallets and Airport Security - Potential Exposure Concerns on: March 31, 2024, 09:53:06 AM
Depends on the security check.

If it's just a hand-carried devices, you might not face any problem since steel wallet using stainless steel or aluminum materials has a bad magnetic conductor especially if the size is small.

But when it comes to X-ray, there's a chance they could know all of your seed phrases because it able to see into the inside even if you have cover it.

My advise is don't carry your steelwallets, leave it somewhere hidden and create a new backup (if you want) when you've arrived on other country.
But if it's the case that you need to move and you absolutely need to carry your seedphrase, is it possible to just put it somewhere in your person, you can just put it in a dog tag and then wear it on a necklace and then just walk right through the metal detector, most of the time, when I do this when I go to a bus terminal I just go past it without a hitch. I do agree with just storing it somewhere though but in the absolute case that it's not an option, would my solution be applicable. And now that I think about it, isn't aluminum foil a good way to cover your belongings so they won't show in the x-ray? I think I've heard it somewhere that it can block it out somehow.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a scam on: March 31, 2024, 08:55:10 AM
Let them think what they want to; if they think Bitcoin is a scam, it doesn't make any difference for Bitcoin. Bitcoin has already proven what's in it; those who want to call it a it a Bitcoin scam don't really know how a decentralised currency works. Bitcoin wasn't created to make us rich; it was a p2p decentralised cryptocurrency to make a solution for a borderless payment system without a third party. How would Bitcoin be scammed when it wasn't controlled by anyone? Due to a lack of proper knowledge, a few people think Bitcoin is a is a scam. We aren't concerned about it.
Exactly, bitcoin investors and hodlers will almost always get the last laugh anyways, they can scream all they want that bitcoin is made out of thin air and that it's a useless thing that we put value into but they're all hypocrites that still considers fiat and gold as variable when both of them are just the same as bitcoin, their valuation was based on how much someone thinks it's worth and the demand it have on the market. I really like to listen to this kinds of people though, talking brashly and arrogantly about the things that they don't know about thinking that they're suddenly an economist or a trader just because they've watched a 20 minute video about economics online. Bitcoin haters will continue to hate even if the price goes up to a million in the future, so let them be, they will never have their minds changed or anything like that, they will never be able to move on or learn something new. I pity them though because I know that those haters deep inside wished that they've bought bitcoin back when it was still a chump change apiece.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Dreams of a Bitcoin Circular Economy in my Country on: March 31, 2024, 08:11:08 AM
It's a slow process and the best thing that anyone can do in this situation is to just wait it out, it's a good thing that you didn't pursue the promotion of bitcoin in your country, I think that it's going to paint a target on you if you ever do that and I don't think that it's a good idea to have that especially if there's other ways that you can disseminate information to deliver the same thing that you plan to do. I don't believe that we're going to wait any longer about this kind of dream though, once bitcoin grows even bigger, I'm sure that we're going to more and more countries that will have the consideration to adopt bitcoin as a part of their economy, only a matter of time for some and real soon for others, we just have to be ready when this kind of thing happens, that's the only way that we can be benefiting from this if it ever happens.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman Fried (scam banker fraud) 25 years on: March 31, 2024, 06:56:37 AM
~
Either he gets lucky and these guys decide that he's a walking bag of money and it's more profitable for them to befriend him than make him their b***h, or they just treat him like the awkward, childish guy that he is and make him a slave who does the laundry, cleans the cell, sucks c**** and all that. I really hope gets the second option because I have no respect for the guy, even though I had no money on FTX. I understand what people who lost money had to go through because that guy wanted to fuck his girlfriend on a terrace overlooking the Bahamas marina. If you don't know what I'm talking about google SBF Orchid penthouse. The guy literally bought a 35 million dollar apartment because he wanted to fuck looking at expensive boats.
Let's not get too imaginative and optimistic about what his fate will he get in prison, I think that the US prisons are always a brutal one which means that he's definitely going to get the same treatment and that thing about him having money means that he's going to be a target of a lot of extortions on the prison, that they're going to do what they do with new guys in prison, it's not a surprising thing for them to also extort these people. If I was the prisoner and I've been presented the opportunity to easily extort money from someone, it's probably an opportunity that I'm going to take, it's a no-brainer and I really don't like the imagination that he'd get off easy on this one, this man is still a criminal and a heinous one at that, just imagine the lives that he's ruined running away and stealing those money from the exchange, and with all that depravity that you've talked about, it's a disservice to wish this man a lighter consequence to his crimes.
55  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🔥 BC.Game - Bitcoin Price Prediction #1 | WIN $50! on: March 31, 2024, 06:48:49 AM
$69,420
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I learned something new from Bitcoin today on: March 30, 2024, 05:02:51 PM
Well, my guy, you just learned what should've been obvious to you in the first place and that it's a bad idea to be obsessed if not addicted to something but one thing that you've got to understand about this though is that you can't ever be able to stop becoming addicted to something, once you're in, you're too enjoying of what you're doing that you're probably not noticing that you're getting addicted to that thing that you're doing, doesn't matter if it's gambling or other addicting activities. Also OP, you can probably move this to the Gambling Discussion section, just click on the Move Topic at the bottom of this thread and select the proper section.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm not if this is being sent as a payment in electrum wallet on: March 30, 2024, 04:28:05 PM
With how poorly you explain yourself, if you are trying to get people to come to your forum you are going to get the opposite, either no one is going to come, or only people who have a similar capacity of comprehension to your capacity of expression are going to come.
It's so funny that you called this out but the other replies just tried to help OP, I guess they've read your post and so they ignored the intention to attract us and visit the website on OP's signature, happens a lot of times and to OP, hopefully you do update us about what's happened to your situation, helps a lot if the members knows it got solved and how it was solved.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good or Bad - Blackrock Buying BTC on: March 30, 2024, 03:43:58 PM
The moment that institutional investors starters putting their money in is the moment that we never should've welcomed before, it's already too late for what we're expecting to be the result of this, we will eventually see what's going to happen next anyway, Blackrock's basically have an unlimited supply of money so I don't know if they're not going to use it to their fullest, they know that if they buy bitcoin, they can easily screw over the retail investors and we all know how good they are with that part, pretty sure that we're going to see that happen anytime soon, make sure to continuing hodling.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman Fried (scam banker fraud) 25 years on: March 30, 2024, 03:04:27 PM

What a nice picture that tells all about Sam's life in jail without the need for words.
Guess who's cleaning the toilet and doing the laundry for the next 25 years. He's gonna be praying the crew is happy with that or some of these nice guys will try to turn him into his girlfriend. And if you think that's the worst that can happen then it's not. It's better to have one boyfriend than a different one every night.
It's going to be long 25 years... (I know he's going to get released much sooner, but still, I wouldn't take 10 in exchange for all his money).
I'm laughing my ass off right now with that picture, that can't be the same dude that was attending the court wearing those swanky suits, that guy looks disheveled as the word disheveled can be, there's no way that he'll survive that long in that prison. I'm not speculating but he's either going to die there or as you've said he's going to be one of those inmates that would become a slave of the other inmates, no way around it, I hope that running away with the money was well worth it because that's the price that he's going to pay, such a sad thing though that he's the only one that's getting the bad luck, he's got a lot of accomplice don't he?
60  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: swindled by bitamp of my funds on: March 30, 2024, 02:02:35 PM
It seems though that the OP has reached out to bitamp already and posted it in their official ANN thread.

However, their official rep in this community is no longer active, so it's hard to say whether the OP can get a response from them or not. So to the OP, just expect the worst, just saying. And as what others said, maybe you can post your address here so that we can trace if it has been moved out or not.
Really difficult to have this kind of problem, using a service with an inactive support, that's got to be the most frustrating thing to happen to someone and I assume that Bitamp is a fine wallet to use since it's a self-custodial wallet albeit the question of closed or open source is still on the air but I digress, is there any other way to contact them other than in their forum ANN thread? I'm sure that they've got a website to which you can talk to a customer support or maybe even to the developers. My advise to OP, try and get all the legal ways to contact Bitammp, the forum is just one way of communicating to them, I hope you find the reason for the bitcoin being gone.
