Economy / Economics / Re: Investment for Bitcoins

Unfortunately now investing bitcoins is impossible or almost impossible. Always profitable to invest in production but after the emergence of bitcoin it has become unprofitable. Now the rise of bitcoin prices ahead of any income from the production and makes such investments unprofitable. The production of coins is also not profitable. You can only wait and hope that bitcoin will rise in price and you will make a profit.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Financial collapse means Bitcoin boom?

Bitcoin can not ensure the functioning of the state. If the country's economic collapse that will have nowhere to spend your money. What will you buy on a desert island? To move to a permanent residence in another country is also problematic. Even if your account has a lot of bitcoins. Therefore, bitcoin cannot exist without Fiat.

My friends also have the same reaction. I agree that most people who turn to bitcoin are experiencing financial problems. As a person who doesn't have money can invest money in a new business? That's why this forum makes a great contribution to the development of the bitcoin community. Each person may get a small amount of coins without investing money to use as start-up capital.

Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Lawyers accepting bitcoin for services

It seems to me that the acceptance of bitcoins for payment lawyers it does not concern ethics. It's not even about payment. How many people now can afford to pay for legal services with bitcoin? Perhaps it is a PR campaign. Lawyers thus get free publicity and attract public attention to the problems of the cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have people been forced to pay tax over Bitcoin yet?

I don't think there's any way to monitor and tax every single transaction right now. I know some people pay taxes on their earnings for Bitcoins, but because of how it works, they're free to declare an incorrect amount.
It seems to me that tracking each transaction of bitcoins for the government unrealistic. And the legislation does not provide for this. But to track each transfer Fiat to your account no problem. Even by today's laws, it is your income. If you use the exchange transaction then definitely have to pay taxes.

If all the Chinese got rid of their crypto-currencies we would see a huge dump. This did not happen. Or news about ban of China to use cryptocurrency it is a fake or the Chinese are in no hurry to get rid of their coins. Maybe this information attack to the Chinese further increased its influence on the cryptocurrency market?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 480 Setup for highest Hashrate

I don't use the original driver AMD. Before the upgrade I also ran the patcher to resolve the error 43. The new driver has no conflicts. The BIOS I installed updated. Each GPU RX 480 8 GB Sapphire provide a stable rate 29.850 Mh/s + 840 Mh/s DCR. 6 GPU 165 Mh/s in dual mining it is normal.

I am waiting on my GPU after 1 year. I change the thermal grease and lubricate the fans. Blow the dust with a vacuum cleaner 1 every three months. If you use the vacuum cleaner in the suction mode it is a less effective cleaning than if you use the mode of blowing air. I don't even remove the GPU for this procedure.

Rx 580 4 gb is cheaper than 8 GB. The difference is not great but I don't see the point in wasting the money. No increase in speed you get. I always liked the Radeon GPU. I still use them. RX-4 series 5 is worse than the RX series. Rate of production about the same but the temperature of the GPU 5 series is much lower.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many new ICO, how to check if it's scam?

There is no guaranteed way to protect yourself from the fact that ICO will be a Scam. Not every Creator is counting on that. On the contrary most of the coins created with the hope of a long life, but the people decide to trust them or not and vote for it with their money. A promising project for a few days can be a Scam and Vice versa.

yes of course, I have checked the compatibility of rom and card. Every card has Elpida mem. The rom I have found should be for the exact same Sapphire Nitro+ 4GB 570 Elpida version.
In Windows the OC is easy but I want to use the card in a linux rig. That's why I want to mod the bios.
Copying and pasting the straps are not doing any good either. I need to set the clock and mem settings somehow inside the bios...
I use RX 580 memory from Elpida and Hynix. Modified firmware I downloaded on the Internet. On Hynix everything went well. The rate rose from 23 to 31. But with Elpida I had problems. The long rate did not rise. I gave the GPU to my friend and he set them manually. Only after that my speed went up to 29 but the temperature of the chip at Hnike below. If there is a choice it is better to buy Pulse with memory Hynix.

Does anyone know how will be a fork in the road? We will get again after the junction free coins or not? I'm not sure that on these coins you will earn money quickly. I like the ability to have hope for earnings in the future. Agree that life with hope is always more colorful than pragmatic existence.

Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do you use Tor?

Yes, I'm using TOR. Right now I'm abroad for an indefinite period and I don't want my identity to be exposed. I also use ProtonMail for maximum security. I'm not interested in DarkWeb and DeepWeb so I don't browse them. TOR for me is a tool which allows me to be anonymous on the Internet. I think I'm going to run a node in the future. What do you think about hosting one on OVH dedicated server?
Tor does not make you completely invisible. If your country banned the use of bitcoin then you will find. But sometimes it so happens that to find a person more than not to search at all. I think that person is easier to find then when it changes bitcoin for Fiat. Banks keep track of such operations and can pass this information to the competent authorities. In our time it is impossible to be completely anonymous.

Legitimate bitcoin and other crypt | currency can only be if the state recognizes it as a means of payment and establishes certain rules for its circulation within the country. If the state for some time does not notice its circulation, this can not be recognized as equivalent to its recognition. In case of theft of the crypto currency, the state will not be able to protect your rights, since such rights will not be fixed by law. Therefore, not recognizing the country's crypto currency means a lack of protection in case of violation of your rights.
In any case, for the safety of their savings primarily responsible landlord. How will the state protect you from hackers or scams? You recognize the victim and all. You need it? Better to let the government sees bitcoin. You will save more on taxes. You want that government policies have turned the bitcoin into Fiat? I don't want to. The longer States will legalize bitcoin the better for us.

It is interesting that the question of the legality of bitcoins is only interested in people in developed countries. In third countries is not such a problem. Those authoritarian country in which there is a legislative ban on the use of bitcoin I am not considering. In third countries people used to survive in difficult situations and therefore are easily able to hide their income. It is important for them to be able to income and hide it from the States no problem.

The early inhabitants of all the countries in which the currency was unstable kept their savings in dollars. The banking system in these States is also not reliable so the economies of these countries are suffocating from a lack of investment, despite the fact that the people are kept in the billions. Now they pay attention to bitcoin and this means that the price will be for a very long time to grow.
