Bitcoin companies with a Hong Kong money transmitter license

Hi

I see that quite a few bitcoin companies are registered in Hong Kong and have received a money transmitter license there. but then, how come they're allowed to do business in the US, UK, etc. (by taking on customers from these countries) when their license was only issued by the HK authority?
