Would You Use a Bitcoin Debit Card?

The fee is the main issue here. When it is reduced to below visa or master, I will use it.

That'll only ever happen if the business wants to give away free coins and/or go out of business.

Visa/MasterCard will charge fees as would be expected and usually the business providing the card will too.

Of course, fees can be lowered by certain amounts!

how low can it go? bit-x.com cards have ridiculously high fees of 0.01btc+mastercard fees for POS transactions. Imagine going to purchase a coffee at your local starbucks and you have to spend $7 and 0.01BTC($2)+mastercard fees just for a cup of coffee. this is the main thing why people aren't that interested in a bitcoin debit card.

I don't really hear of anyone using any sort of card for tiny transactions like buying a coffee. Their intended use (from my experience at least) is usually above $100, more for ATM withdrawals.

Pro tip: Don't buy starbucks coffee if you're worried about spending too much

But still, people could still use it for groceries if they run out of cash and there are no ATMs nearby. Wouldn't it be a loss if you only have bitx card and have to pay 0.01BTC? For ATM withdrawals, I dont think it's that practical since you have to pay higher fees and you have a limit.

I would and i will, I do use cards on my online purchases, but to get that i need to change my Bitcoin to fiat then deposit it ot card and that takes A LOT of my time. So, having a Bitcoin Debit Card would be easier than that, send your Bitcoins to card... DONE.

You don't even need to send bitcoins to your card with Bit-X's debit card, just have a balance in your account!

Even better! Also, because that you can use it on Physical POS and even withdraw "CASH" from ATMs' (nah, too unnecessary) i can give Bit-X Debit Card a bonus point.

That's interesting, I hadn't heard about that before. I only knew about Xapo, ANX and Bit-X, and NETELLEr, but that isn't a Bitcoin company.

No problems so far except finding shops that accept credit cards

Not all stores here in Belgium do so, especially not local grocery shops - despite being a bigger brand - as they do not process a transaction with a credit card.

Just make sure you activate it over the phone, remember your PIN code and off you go
