Hi

I finally managed to get my Antminer U3 working (I was trying to mine Scrypt based currency with it - silly me)
I got a Pi with Minera and my own USB cord.

I get >90% error rate and don't understand why. Is it from the power supply? From the USB cord?  Undecided

What can affect error/rejected rate?

it can be for multiple things, like the software for mining, the usb as you said the pc/raspberry you are using, or defective unit

check first your command line(bat file or desktop shortcut), maybe it's not mining correctly

proceed with exclusion, it's the best method to find the problems

Ok, but what am I looking for?

As I said I'm very new to all this and it is a bit confusing. I thought it would be easier  Roll Eyes

first thing are you using the correct miner cgminer 4.9.0? command line should be like this cgminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:8332 -u fred -p password --au3-freq 225 --au3-volt 800 --btc-address <address>

Are you using powered usb hub for the miner? If yes, you need get power for the powered hub from the same source as your pi.

I'm using the last cgminer with minera. I don't really know where to check those command lines, I'm not really familiar with console commands and Pi stuff, just getting started here Shocked

I'm not using a USB hub, my U3 is directly plugged into the Pi. Is it a problem? Not enough amps?

command line should be in your bat file, and don't use minera is really bad, try the regular cgminer 4.9.0 for this mienrs

usb hub isn't needed if you don't have many usb to connect
