Hi everyone,

I've browsed these forums for a while but have only just registered as I have a quick question. I've got only about $60 USD in my btc-e account and about 200 LTC in my wallet and I'm wanting to cash in.

When I try to withdraw my USD through BTC-E I get the message "Money hold. 2814 min left". I assume this is because I haven't logged into BTC-E for some time so I have to wait 48 hours before withdrawing funds which is fair enough.

I also want to cash in the 200LTC in my wallet. Is the best way to do this to transfer to BTC-E, sell for USD and withdraw the USD?

Also, I'm in Australia so what is the best method for withdrawing my USD from BTC-E? Will it credit funds to my PayPal account or directly into my bank account?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Jason

I think btc-e will send funds to your bank account. Do research to see how long it takes.

If you go to "finances" and withdraw USD, you will find the conditions:
- wire transfer - 1.5 % fee - min 1k usd
- paypal - 6% fee - min 250 usd

Maybe you can do some research.

Thanks a lot.

marco, I think usually the options come up when you click 'Withdraw' but since mine comes up with the error I can't see what options are available to me. Thanks for your post.

So I assume I have to send the LTC to BTC-E, then sell to USD, then withdraw?

There is no other way to do it?

You will have to wait 48 hours.

You can also change the LTC for BTC in btc e or cryptsy or any other exchanges, and then trade the BTC for AUD in localbitcoins, for a face to face meetings, or with an other exchange than btc e. Because btc e prices are quite low. And fees high.

I think btc-e will send funds to your bank account. Do research to see how long it takes.

This might help you if you use BTC-e

Check out this new site.  You can trade litecoins directly into US$.

https://www.litetree.com

Otherwise as others have said Cryptsy, Vircurex, BTC-E can trade your LTC to BTC.  Then go to Coinbase to trade your BTC into $.

I surely wouldnt trust a new site or a recommendation from a new user with one post.  You are just looking for trouble if you take that advice.  Stick to the more proven websites/exchanges.

I agree, be careful with new trading sites.

I will add that I did a small trade with litetree to test it.   The transfer to my Dwolla account took less than 24hrs.

Paypal is an option.  Wire transfer is the bank account option you're looking for.

See previous posts for details of percentages and min amounts to withdraw.  I haven't tried either of them.
