For many years, it was believed that this species was harmless, but world-renowned herpetologist Karl P. Schmidt learned the hard way that this snake is, in fact, badass. Back in 1957, whilst examining a young boomslang, Schmidt was bitten on the thumb. Given that nobody knew these snakes were deadly, Schmidt thought nothing of it and carried on as normal. In just one day, he died of respiratory arrest and cerebral hemorrhage; an event that quickly spurred researchers to examine this snake’s venom, which unsurprisingly turned out to be highly toxic.
Boomslangs are rear-fanged, meaning that they’re equipped with large teeth at the back of their mouths. Consequently, to inject their prey with venom, the snakes have to open their mouths very wide, around 170 degrees.
What this snake’s venom does to you would not be out of place in a horror movie. It’s hemotoxic, meaning that it destroys red blood cells, disrupts the clotting process and causes tissue and organ degeneration. What this unfortunately means is that massive hemorrhage ensues, causing the victim to bleed from the gums, nose and other orifices. Sometimes, the body of the victim will turn blue because of the widespread internal bleeding. Adding insult to injury, the process can be extremely slow, sometimes taking 5 days for the victim to die of internal bleeding. Thankfully, there is an antivenom, so if you’re bitten by one of these guys- don’t hang about.

I had always assumed snake venom contains neurotoxins and the simplest way to treat was put on a respirator and then pump in new blood. Didn't know there can be other types of venom.

Crazy.
I think that flesh eating bacteria, ebola, and parasitic brain worms are also very creepy ways to die.

Dying is never pretty.
Lung cancer is nasty. The lungs fill with cancerous fluids till you can't breath anymore. A very very slow suffocation/drowning. Not so creepy or exotic as dying by snakebite but just as horrifying if you have to witness it.

Take a blank injection with no fluid inside and pierce it into your hands , heart attack and death within 5 minutes . Death is pretty when you are dead while you are asleep . For such snakes , it would be cool !

Probably being stabbed to death is the worse. The adrenaline that flows into your body while being stabbed is just unimaginable. I know the feeling because I've been stabbed 2 times by a thief in the stomach. Good thing we're just 1 km away from the hospital.

Actually few minutes is enough to boil you alive And it is really painful because i remember few years a go i got my hand into a very hot boiling water and it still left me a burn marks Anyway i think the creepiest way of dying is being crushed alive somehow that's scared me to death

When I said "creepy" I meant it on horror movie style, not on painful style.
I read this and I just imagine someone bleeding out from nose, ears, eyes, mouth, and even his dick and anus xD. That looked creepy and a good theme for a horror movie (much better than anaconda xD).

It is kind of depressing when you think of all the ways you could die, this has got to be in the top 5. OUCH! Would you rather have this or the Darwin award?

Do you want something more creepy than almost being boiled alive, and then being served as dinner to someone? And you being alive and awake while others cut pieces out of your meat and eat it in front of you?

After your nerve endings go you won't be able to feel the fire or anything anymore. That's why any videos of people burning have them looking like they're just waiting after about 5-10 minutes.
