I see that I have reported 10 posts,  to the mods with 88% accuracy.  But I find this highly surprising as I would have expected that my accuracy percent would have been in { 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100}.  How could I have been right on 8.8 posts out of 10?

Your number of reported posts (10) is increased as soon as you report them, however the accuracy is updated only when the reports are either handled or marked as bad. The 88% probably means 8/9, not 8.8/10.

Ok, I thought I understood the weirdness, but today it says "reported ten posts with 89% accuracy".  Now how could I have gained 1 percent I really have no idea.

It must be some kind of rounding.  But if the report were handled then I would have seen either an 80% or a 90% (as then the denominator would be 10 (no longer 9)).  I guess I don't really understand how 8/9 (=0.8888...) would round down yesterday and round up today.

The 88% was most likely 7 accurate reports out of 8, 87.5% rounded to 88% then one additional report was marked as good so you would have 8 out of 9 reports marked as good, 88.88% rounded to 89%

I'm not really sure why it appears that you are continually clicking the report to moderator button when your total number of reports does not appear to go up Roll Eyes

Hey, good job.  Way to take a helpful answer that you gave and turn it into some trolling assholery before you were done.  Sweet use of "continually" as a synonym for twice!
