I have a couple of new s5's. In the past couple of days 1 stops hashing at random times. When this happens, I cant access the s5's web interface, ping it or anything. It does have power though. Fan is running link light on etc.

Once I power cycle it, It runs fine until the next time.

Ideas?

if they are used old machine it maybe a normal thing, you need to restart them from time to time because they tend to get stuck

i don't think there is any real problem here, but how about rejected and HW errors? are those ok?

These are brand new s5's. I bought from Bitmain last week. I have noticed that I am getting about 1 or 2 pct stale shares on both of them. Not a lot, but my s3+'s always had 0 rejects.

Is there any difference between power supplies on that unit that is having problems?

If you can eliminate hardware as being the issue, I would look into upgrading firmware to test software. (*note always small risk of bad things when messing with firmware)

Is this a new miner to you?  Did you buy it from someone else?

Also if you are not you might try putting in power to all pcie inputs that PSU should have no problem with it.   If that does not work I would start to look at software side.

Thanks Notlist3d. I already had all the power ports connected. I will update the firmware and see how it works. And yes I agree, I always have to cross my fingers when updating firmware on anything. Smiley

Sounds good! Let us know how it goes.

I'm hoping software will fix it.  I think hardware is tested pretty well so far especially since we know you have more then enough power.

...........
I am running both on 1 antec 1500 watt power supply.

Hi, i didn't find any antec 1500watt on antec product list.

The biggest capacity is HCP-1300 Platinum 1300 Watt
HCP-1300 Platinum have 4 rail with each rail rated at 50A(600watt max).

You need to make sure to spread the load from each blade to each rail.
Rail 1 for blade1 miner1,
Rail 2 for blade2 miner1,
Rail 3 for blade1 miner2,
Rail 4 for blade2 miner2

as he says antec has no current 1500 watt model and antec has split rail systems (bad easy to overload 1 rail)

Please give use the exact model number of your antec so we can determine how many rails it has.

An easy way to see if this is the case is look at the label  4 rails .  My suggestion is down clock the gear to 1050gh vs 1150 gh see what happens.  Also figure out your rails.
