I also think that BTER is scam.
In april of 2015 I was try to withdraw COMM (CommunityCoin). On the withdrawal page of BTER was appear TxID number, that indicates withdrawal complete.
But I not received coins. There is no mistake with address. I haved fully working wallet for this coin, sinchronized.

I wrote to support, but they answer: "Dear Sir, There is no workable block explorer to confirm if the transaction was sent to you successfully."

Second time I wrote this:
"Problem still not resolved, COMM still not received.
 I don't found workable online block explorer for COMM, but there is
 alternative way to check transaction. This is Debug Window in
 CommunityCoin-qt application.
 I use this command:
 getrawtransaction
 6a3d136fe20c3d396e97ee61a6b695863f9d06afbba20fa84af498c1184438bd

 And I get this answer:
 No information available about transaction (code -5)

 Wallet is fully synchronized."

But this was ignored by support.
Next months I was wrote some tickets to support, but it was fully ignored. They was not answer on my questions.

Withdraw broken wallet can be spotted by try to generate an addie.  But the 3 above generate addies, so that throws out this method as 100% ...

when i saw this topic i thought to myself somebody revived an old post but seeing the OP date it is not old at all :O

bitcoin price on bter is $100 i think, all other markets are dead too i don't know why someone would trade there!
