disgusting but inevitable when you consider how many billions of dollars go on bainwashing the younger generation to believe a man inserting his penis into another man's anus is "equal" to marriage and child rearing. there's no standing up to hollywood and other mass media.

How many billions of dollars go to brainwashing the *youngest* generation to believe an invisible man with a grey beard created the earth in 6 days?  

These poor kids are attacked by their own parents - who they love and trust - before they can think for themselves.  At least people can choose to believe Hollywood or not.

Catholic church in Ireland have very bad status in society because of many pedophile scandal in the past.
If situation with the church was different, referendum results could be different because this is much more worldview than a political issue.
It is important that any result can always be taken as an expression of the democratic will of the citizens and not as an expression of bigotry society, as happened in my country after a similar referendum.

Every country should allow gay marriage.  The question to those that are anti-gay is, what are you scared of?

I have gay friends, they are just people.  I didn't choose to find women attractive and they didn't choose to find people of the same sex attractive, why should there be discrimination against people who are hurting no one and doing nothing wrong?

It's all society and religion, almost the name of the board here!
