A lot of coins have new features that appeal to the crypto nuts, but rarely ever is a new feature geared towards making crypto simpler for new users. It's one big crypto feature circle-jerk.

I agree. A coin needs to be simpler and easier to use.
Those other gadgets are found in other areas of the internet, but we don't need them in our wallet.
Why would we need those gadgets in our wallet?

To raise the value of the coin, then claim they are more innovative than others. Special features in a wallet tends to attract people to invest in the coin.

Since I posted this thread, I have found that I like POS coins that pay me for having coins in the wallet.

Still haven't even tried coins with all the gizmos and doodads though.

Haven't explored all the POS coins wallets, not at all,

but I like the Netcoin Net POS/POW paying interest in the wallet with PIR and OWI.

What other POS coins are there, that you think are a good buy right now?

Most of the "features" offered by new coins are nothing but bells and whistles that, for the most part, are of no real value.

I think Peercoin was the first hybrid POS/POW coin and it's still very popular. It lacks gizmos and doo-dads though. It's price has been fairly volatile this week and its gone down in price over the last few days. I'm not sure if it's a good buy right now, but it's not a pump and dump coin. It's unlikely to lose all its value overnight like some brand new coins.

Thank you for reminding me about peercoin, it was the first pos coin, so has a following I guess.

Never heard of bitswift, that is no surprise though, with so many coins being made these days.
