A tutorial for managing your own payments?

I'm interested in how to manage payments if you run a full node.

I can see there are payment services out there, but I'd like to see about building a library for doing this stuff so that hopefully others can easily DIY their payment solutions.

Are there tutorials that cover:

- Setting up a full node

- Setting up a wallet

- Creating receive addresses for people to make payments or donations to

- Monitoring those addresses for incoming transactions, confirmations for the transactions, and catching ones that turned out to be invalid (double spends etc.)

As I understand it you interact with your node via API, so in that respect I'm programming language agnostic.
