Many would be tempted with that amount. You should not buy all at once. I feel sorry for you and your child.

If this is funds for your "newborn child" why are you buying mining equipment with them....

I would be holding them in a multisig wallet waiting for the price to increase.

You newborn child did not make the decision to try and make a bit of profit. Did they?

He actually stole money from you, not your kid.

In the future, Always use escrow if you need to buy something. The main profit in my opinion comes from Holding Your Assets. Especially if you want a ROI in the future.
