Most insightful.  Most government income should probably be categorized under "extortion", since little (none?) of it is obtained via voluntary transactions.

I'm too lazy, sorry.  It'll just have to stay at hand-waving.  But I will say that known silk road traffic adds up to a significant percentage of overall Bitcoin transactions, and likely that alone as a percentage exceeds the percentage of illicit goods trading done in USD.
