It is likely that the rampant scams and passthroughs-to-scams on GBLSE may end up causing selling pressure of other securities, but I doubt it will be the end of GBLSE (unless the SEC manages to somehow stick its fingers into GBLSE along with the pirate mess). The bitcoin economy as a whole may see temporary hiccups as was seen from various exchange hacks and whatnot, but will continue to press on as it has proven itself in the past.

I have never owned any securities on GBLSE and so far it has proven to be a wise choice. I have and will continue to use bitcoin as a medium of exchange.

About a week ago the situation has changed: the market was awash with packages 100 shares each at the price beneath the nominal values.

It's called shorting.
