One of the major Bitcoin stories of the past week has been on whether or not Uber is planning to integrate Bitcoin payments in the future.

what's so special about a few uber drivers accepting bitcoin tips? as long as they don't make bitcoin one of their payment options, news articles like these have zero value.

It's a start?

Coinbase for selling BTCs
Fold for spending BTCs
PM me with any questions on these sites/apps!  http://www.montybitcoin.com

or Vircurex for trading alt cryptocurrencies like DOGEs
CoinNinja for exploring the blockchain.

Your ignorance is incredible.

Uber drivers can not ask for tips in general (states so in the article, read before you speak), and Uber keeps denying they are working on Bitcoin acceptance.

Drivers are sending a clear message to the company this way.

I don't understand why Uber is not more eager to incorporate Bitcoin as a payment? I mean decentralized taxi services and decentralized money, we sort of go hand in hand, dont we?

i have read the article. still it's nothing to get excited about. if uber indeed happens to accept bitcoin as form of payment, that's when it start to get interesting.
