To register domains on etherid.org you need to use ethereum Mist browser.Mist is the official web browser of ethereum, you can download the existing beta on their github page:

I recomment for you to download geth and sync the blockchain with geth, when you see geth is synced until the latest block on etherchain.org, close it and open Mist and Mist will open normally.
I think etherid will be for the Domain Name industry as bitcoin was for money, it will change the rules of the internet completely.
