Try this?

https://bitnz.com - I know nothing about it plus it looks tiny and you'd have to pace your sells or you'd swallow the order book.

https://localbitcoins.com/country/NZ - is the most obvious place if you're comfortable selling to other people.

There are a few exchanges in NZ so you shouldn't have too much trouble selling your bitcoin:

https://bitnz.com/

https://tua.co.nz/

https://nzbcx.com  (beta)

Far as I can tell they all allow withdrawal to NZD though you will probably have to go through some sort of verification process.

As a New Zealander, I used to be in the same boat. I ended up using LocalBitcoins to sell my coins. Most traders there require ID for buying coins through online banking (unless it's a cash deposit or physical trade), but most don't require it for selling since the buyer is protected via their built-in escrow system. All of the major traders have accounts with the major banks so payment into your account should arrive instantly. The last time I sold my coins, I did so with the user B1tC01n.Rescue since he doesn't require ID for selling and his prices were very competitive:

Thankyou to everyone for the replies. I signed up for Local Bit Coin.
So basically what I do now is organise a trade with someone. I transfer them my bitcoins and they transfer money to my bank account? In terms of receing my $$ how exactly does that work? Do I have tell the buyer of my bitcoins my bank acc details?
Am I getting it right? Sorry Im a total bitcoin noob

That's pretty much it.

Or more precisely, after you sign up for an account, LocalBitcoins will provide you with a unique address to deposit your coins into. Once they have received your coins, you can then begin setting up your own trade advertisements or responding to other users' advertisements. After you have found a trader (there is usually a list of them in the front page - scroll down to the "Sell bitcoins online in New Zealand" section), you will send them your bank account details and they will send the NZD into your bank account. Once the money is in your bank account, you can then release the coins in your LocalBitcoins account. After doing so, the coins will then appear in their LocalBitcoins account and thus the trade would be complete.

Your LocalBitcoins account will need to be funded before making a trade (see above).

You will usually need to provide them* with the name of your bank (e.g. ASB, Westpac, Kiwibank, BNZ, etc.), your account number, and your name.

*By "them", I mean the trader that you're trading with.

Localbitcoins as already suggested by others is the way to go, just make sure to read the profiles of the buyers and that they have several positive feedbacks with atleast 100+ trades and that they have verified their social media, phone number, ID on localbitcoins and if you're trading for the first time I think it be best if you do in small quantities.

Also, after you receive the money in your account, make sure to ask the buyer to provide the Transaction reference number through screenshot.

well there are a lot of ways for this..like you can use localbitcoin.com(mostly recommended) this can help you to exchange your bitcoins with the faint currency and after you got the money simply give a confirmation verifiction and the trader will get your coins..that's pritty easy just give it a try or use any type of bitcoin exchange if you want to do this manually

I'm surprised that no one say Bit Innovate here. You can check their announcement thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101159
