Howbout moving all Shitnero related threads straight to the garbage?

Great grave digging... This thread was more than 2 years old.. Although it may still be a good idea to get subsubforums for the larger coins and move all discussion there... And a "other" section for all the other garbage.

I think it's his hobby to bring dead threads back to life, I have seen quite a few being resurrected over the past few days. He is some sort of crypto-forum necromancer. Smiley

But to the topic at hand, I agree with what has been said that this is supposed to be Bitcoin Talk Forum, not altcoin talk. Be thankful that there is an alt section at all, so let's not push the hospitality of our hosts.

I tend to feel the opposite way. Our hosts clearly need us to sustain their livelihoods as they rake in pretty good cash via advertising.

And its true I am a necromancer, but I honestly try to pull up only the more interesting / perhaps still relevant threads. And I'm trying to see how often the Maneuro spamteam pushes their threads to the top. I'd say its like clockwork. They probably even have set schedules.

Well, in this case it's working: Monero's movin' up.

Actually, I've noticed a pattern: when Monero threads flood page 1 of this board, XMR reverses its trend. The last time, it was ~0.004 and turned down. The time prior, it was lower than it is now - and it headed up.

Since XMR is taking off, the pattern's holding...so far...

I bet you it will go back down before too long. But yeah, its working... Too bad its not a very technologically sound coin. If it was, it wouldn't need constant pumping and cheerleading.

this has been raised before, and Saltyspoons response was for people to use the naming convention [LTC] at the start of the thread title.

The big problem with this is there is not even an ignore thread feature, nor a saved search feature. So not only can't you focus in on just the topics you want, you can't ignore the others.

Given that this forum is seems to be locked in a time capsule when it comes to feature development, it seems like using the capabilities it does have (creating subforms) as a workaround is the best possible.

As far as Bitcointalk vs. Altcointalk if I'm not mistaken most of the traffic is in the altcoin section, i.e. that's where the bread is buttered and I don't see it going anywhere. Maybe to reduce confusion among people who don't understand what is going on they should just rename bitcointalk.org to altcointalk.org and move what little Bitcoin discussion is still here down to its own subforum.
