Title: The federal government against Bitcoin

My name is Matt Gillum and I am currently in a legal battle with the United States government. The government has seized about $ 250,000 and 1300 BTC from my Tradehill exchange account. I am looking for anyone who through their own personal experiences can offer supporting testimony to myself.
1. Between the dates of January 1, 2010 and August 1, 2013, did you ever buy or sell Bitcoins by any of the followi...ng methods?
A. Mailing cash to an address
B. Buying a green dot card and giving the seller
the numbers.
C. Depositing cash into a bank account.
2. Between the dates of January 1, 2010 and August 1, 2013 did you ever buy or sell bitcoins on the website localbitcoins.com?

3. Between the dates of January 1, 2010 and August 1, 2013 did you ever buy bitcoins on the bit instant exchange by depositing cash into a bank account?

4. Between the dates of January 1, 2010 and August 1, 2013 did you ever transfer bitcoins in and out of the Mt. GOX exchange without verifying your account?

5. Do you have any personal experience buying or selling Bitcoins you believe may be helpful?

This case will be one of the first bitcoin civil asset forfeiture cases to be tried in federal court and will most definitely set a precedent for future prosecutions .A victory for me will be a victory for bitcoin a defeat for me will be a defeat for bitcoin.

IF this is legit I wish you well.  Civil asset forfeiture is a terrible law and a violation of the consitutional right of due process.  However, I am not sure how any of this would help your case.  Did your lawyer tell you to do this ?  I hope you have a good one.

Wow, that's some big money seized. Sorry for that.

But i wonder... can you explain what they claimed as a reason for seizing that money? Was it unregistered money exchanging? I guess you did it in a too big frame?

Wondering about that law. Is it that law where they simply can seize because you might be connected to drugs somehow? I'm not sure but i have read that it is a real pain and that YOU need to proof that it isn't so. If i remember correctly then only the more reason for me to never live in the US.

Very wrong decision. Bitcoin will win at the end. It is the technology behind it which will make bitcoin winner. I don't know which kind of advisers have the Federal Government but I am sure that one day they will understand that was wrong about bitcoin.

You have to prepare with your lawyer in order to answer this questions. You should ask your lawyer before answering any of these questions. You should also collect  as much information you can find about similar cases to your so you can answer better. Wish you good luck !
