OP, a senior member perfectly knows where to buy them..this is more of a promotional thread. anon coins are done pretty much..pure hype no average joe gonna use.

As regards to Monero, I don't see any clear SUBSTANTIAL advantage over all the other countless alt coins out there.

Take a look at this video, it might change your view -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEVm1dMn5Ks

Differences from Bitcoin start at 10:22

Privacy matters, use Monero - A true untraceable cryptocurrency
Why Monero matters? http://weuse.cash/2016/03/05/bitcoiners-hedge-your-position/

Try to buy Bitcoins locally and transfer to an exchange like Cryptsy and convert it there to Dash.
I live in a country where i can buy Bitcoins in a matter of seconds through some form of instant payment
verification system, have it directly deposited on the exchange's bitcoin address and then await the painfull
Bitcoin confirmations (normally a hour) to be able to use it there.

Nice to see all the trolls that normally troll us in the Dash forum gathered here, any chance you could throw away the key
so they get stuck here ?  Grin

Joking aside, it would be wise to judge a cryptocurrency not on the opinions of some posters on some public forum who clearly have their own interest and agenda at heart
(they are after all involved in directly competing cryptocurrencies) but to judge it on the merit of its accomplishments, the progress of its roadmap, and its objectives met.

There are some posters like AdamWhite and his many other troll accounts (TheDasher for example) who are very known to spread FUD and lies in the altcoin section about Dash and who
also frequently troll in our bitcointalk Dash forum, a closer look at their posting history should be sufficient to be honest.

Dash has two forums, one on bitcointalk in the ANN section (which is sometimes overrun by trolls) and the more mature Dashtalk forum. So if you have some questions about
Dash and would like some advice i would suggest you check the Dashtalk forum, our dev team hangs out there a lot.

Also we have a very public Testnet that you can check to see what Dash is up to and perhaps particpate in if you interested in testing new feautures of Dash and providing some
solid feedback.

Dash Bitcointalk forum : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.0
Dashtalk forum : https://dashtalk.org/
Dash Testing : https://dashtalk.org/forums/testing.53/

To conclude my post : Dash is not just about price, anonymity, speed of transactions .. its about having a two-tier system  in place (Proof of Work & Proof of Service) on which many
other services can be build and which also enabled Dash to put into place a decentralised budget system to actually start building those services in the nearby future.

Make no mistake, this is pretty much the most developed altcoin project that exists today (okay, okay, a little bragging here but if you look at dashpay github and notice all the code
thats been written from scratch by the dev team you may understand why i typed that).

It's crazy that you want to invest in Dash instead of Ethereum, also your point that Eth doesn't even have a wallet is false. Just download the Window's setup and you are good to go. It needs to download the blockchain though (600 MBs). They have a huge market cap. And Dapps like Augur are raising millions of dollars.

I mean, wouldn't Maidsafe be REAL SLOW because it has to fetch data from many places before I can download it on to my computer? Woudln't it be as slow as the TOR network, like dialup slow?! The architecture of data fetching seems similar between the two.

No, it would even be faster than today's server-centric internet, because you'd be downloading all the fragments of your desired content from multiple sources at the same time!

Tor tries to patch a broken internet that was never designed with privacy and end-to-end encryption in mind, that's why it's slow. MaidSafe is being designed from the ground up with privacy and security in mind, thus it can and will be much more efficient.

The valid criticism though is indeed it might turn out to be vaporware, as mentioned. Also its security model (no blockchain, thus no scalability and tracibility problems, but rather a "proof-of-resource" mechanism along with a node-ranking system) sounds too good to be true, has not received any academic-level review yet (it might turn out to be too complex with too many moving parts to ever be able to be reviewed properly), and has not yet stood the real-world practical test of time as relatively well-understood blockchain-based approaches have.

"qwizzie" is obviously extremely vested in Dash and tries very hard to discredit anyone asking questions and pointing out inconsistencies in the Dash deception  Roll Eyes

He apparently has a hard time with the following facts:

1) eduffield being intentionally deceptive by saying he will "definitely not" launch until the next day at the earliest and then launching it anyway: proven fact

2) 1.5 million coins instamined in the first 8 hours of launch: proven fact

3) eduffield drastically reducing total supply after launch (once he and the other insiders were done instamining) from 80 million to 20 million coins: proven fact

4) eduffield drastically reducing block rewards after launch (once he and other insiders were done instamining) from 500 coins per block to 5 coins per block: proven fact

5) eduffield launching the coin as linux-only (compile from source or GTFO right Evan?) to avoid pesky windows miners getting in the way of his instamine: proven fact

i wonder which one of these facts Qwizzie has an issue with specifically. He does what any good Dash cultist should and tries to discredit anyone pointing them out (see step 2 of the scam steps quoted above).  I don't use any alt forum accounts qwizzie, i say everything I need to with my main account.
