I am not sure if it is allowed officially, but it is listed in the virtual currencies section. I would be more worried about charge-backs, as most people on eBay use PayPal. It has long been known that it is very risky to sell BTC for PayPal as it often gets charged back with no questions asked, while your BTC is per design non-refundable.

This is really a serious problem. No selling protection in such cases. I have heard of cases of a chargeback for virtual trades on ebay.

The digital currency category isn't new but ebay has strict guidelines for digitally delivered goods.
This specific listing sells as "best offer", you can see the seller's feedback to discover the amount it usually sells for.

That isn't trustworthy. I don't think that people are that stupid to buy 0.1 BTC for $500. The man probably found some loophole or hacked it to look like lots of people buyed the product. Then real menatally challenged people may buy it.

I am not quite sure ebay do this. This can not be accounted for. we must consider several sources to make sure that this is really present on ebay. if true then this is very good news.

Well they used to be popular back in the day before scammers started to mass chargeback after getting the coins. I do not think anyone would actually still buy from ebay now even if it is listed.

I think he has published a product cheaper, people bought a lot of accumulated feedback and now changed the subject and content of the product.

There had been people already selling btc back then on ebay. I just don't know how successful they were.
But yeah, it sure could turn out to be scam especially if someone not savvy enough spotted his ad. he only needs the keywords for his add to be viewed.
