Hello everyone, I've been away from this forum for almost half a year now and I didn't pay attention to BTC for that time too. Has anything changed, except the price that is? Any good news, bad news concerning the commercialism of btc?

You joined the forum a week ago so it's a bit hard to believe you had a presence 18 months ago. Why didn't you join back then?

Nothing's changed...see you in 2017.

aside from the drama about the new fork/version/xt call it what you want, there are no other important news

2016 seems to be the years of the final discovery about the future of bitcoin, if it is doomed or not, many thing will happen next year

Maybe he was just lurking and hasn't registered.

Yes, the biggest news is a lot of drama about the increase of the block size, possible XT fork that might give us 2 Bitcoins in the near future. Besides that, some people were arrested, some were sentenced to jail sentences (Ross Ulbricht), no major exchange hacks (which is pretty impossible to believe).

At the same time, Bitcoin adoption continues, more and more companies started accepting Bitcoin, mostly through Bitpay though, and yes, we had record investment of VC money this year, this is very encouraging.

Welcome back!

Welcome back!

Nothing much changed.
Members still waiting for a rally to the moon,
Many external (and internal) factors are still tryng to kill Bitcoin,
Many arrests went down,
Many hacks/scams/etc,
Several new Bitcoin businesses popped up
And since the begining of the year forum members have been at it with each other regarding the block size.

Don't know if I forgot something, but I am sure some other member will fill then blank Wink

If he was lurking he could just lurk and catch up. No idea why a lurker would suddenly decided to sign up to post this.

Not really. It would be a lot more simpler and easier to ask what happened in a brief summary than look back at ~1 1/2 years of events.

He said half a year, that's only 6 months, not 18 months.
No big news except block size limit discussions. Price is stabil for a long time.
