3. I haven't the slightest idea, but the price in a month isn't really a concern. Just as the price in the last year hasn't been. I'm on a 10-20 year outlook. It either succeeds or it fails. I'm not here to trade. If I wanted to lose money then I could easily do so on forex markets, or I've found spread betting to be even more efficacious!

Didn't you recently predict $570k bitcoins sometime later in 2015 though? Or was it 700k?

560k, 14 months from the post date 27/9/14

I predected that in a mass adoption scenario we would see swings of an order of magnitude that are currently incomprehensible.

The thread title was clickbait. The body of the post explains the actual figure isn't an accurate prediction. I was speculating on how a mass adoption scenario might unfold and what the price action would be. I can pretty much guarantee I'm wrong on the specifics. Not because bitcoin is going to zero, but because 580,000 is just one number. There are so many other numbers!

If you imagine for a second that this selloff is the antithesis to the prior bubble. That it too eventually comes to an end. That in actual fact BTC marches on. In that scenario how do we get from a few billions market cap to capturing a big chunk of online remittance.

I'm not saying it *will* happen, but if it does, *how* will it happen?

Predictable straight line increase, or a sickeningly volatile lurching to and fro between moon and doom?

I would think that most people here are in the US, and it's getting very close to the end of the day for them and in some states, the day has already passed. It's early morning in the UK right now.

Screenshot from Preev:

And Bitstamp:

Very sad. I think the price went down by about $100 in three days. Sad

Wait... What the fuck? Looks like it happened. OP's prediction came true:

Sub 200 before the end of the day.

I bet 1 BTC it isn't.

at no point before midnight GMT is it below $200

bitstamp price

What say you?

I watched the clock tick over... pretty clear to me Smiley

Was pretty surprised this morning though - close call!

Wow, that was a very close call. If the bet had ended just 6-7 hours later, you would have lost the bet.

Good to see the price has climbed back up to where it was before that big crash a couple of hours ago too. It's now trading at pretty much exactly $200 now ($199 on Bitstamp and $204 on Preev).

$166.44 at stamp now. That tanked harder than I expected. I was pretty sure that it was a safe bet for sgbett, but it was far closer than I imagined.

Many at times do not want to believe what others post given the fact of how much trash gets posted on Bitcointalk. I spoke of prices tanking down months and months ago. Did anyone listen to me nope post just went into the vapour of Bitcointalk never to be seen again and I did warn countless people about the drops and what was forecast yet no one took note of what was going to happen and said stop smack or trolling or fuddling but again forecast predicted over many factors each time been almost right every time with a small margin of maybe 5% each way on low and high.

End of week results for BTC-e will be around $170 to $190,... Current market $180 will drop into the $170s and if it goes past that no doubt it will see a $165 to $140s area given the amount of coin that is holding the market up. If across a number of BTC trading sites should see a few more drops yet to come and their vols are not talking much numbers even tho orders been spread about evenly. Only going to take 100 to 200 BTC to crash markets down to $40 might cause a buying craze however only time will tell and am not going to say sh!t over and over again. Read the news read about other markets not just Bitcoin ull see what is going on among crypto and also fiat and people cashing out smack talking and panic selling. Value will rise in a few months time right now its a sinking ship to low lows again with some alt markets going though the roof and I wont comment their. Do some research and ull find out what you need to know for you to make a good earner for a fair wack of BTC and fiat Smiley
