I have heard that some exit nodes can steal data (which has happened to some bitcoiners). However is this only that case when HTTPS isn't used?

It would be very difficult to eavesdrop on HTTPS traffic. Requests are encrypted and decrypted only on the client and server, nobody in between should be able to decrypt it.

unless the whole exchange is done over the same bad node... then in theory they could decrypt it but is highly unlikely Smiley

If I for example create an account here, can the exit node know my password and login name and steal my account?

The site uses HTTPS so you should be fine.
