OP_REORGPROOFVERIFY / OP_WITHDRAWPROOFVERIF

I'm trying to understand the security of the implementation of 2way peg in Elements, but I find almost no official information on how OP_REORGPROOFVERIFY / OP_WITHDRAWPROOFVERIF should work.

It would be very kind if Blockstream releases some basic documentation to the community, so we can learn how it is supposed to work before reading in the code how it is implemented.
