Installed msi afterburner on a computer and now my guiminer window won't come up.  I can reduce it and see it on my taskbar (win7) but it never goes to actually be on my screen.

What is this problem?

Deleted guiminer and reextracted, no fix so its got to be a config file bug for it...?

For Windows 7 also try going to: C:\users\<your user name>\appdata\roaming\poclbm\poclbm.ini     open that file, go to the end of it and you will find an area called 'window position' that gives x & y coordinates. Try adjusting the first number I believe, which should be the x coordinate. Good luck

Anyway just put it here for posterity, thanks Isepick!

I believe this problem was *caused* my not saving changes before closing.  I had a really high "x" number in my pclbm file, changing it to 3 solved my problem.

Alternatively, hover your mouse over the icon in your taskbar until the preview appears. Then right click on the preview, and select "maximize".

I hope this happens to you, so you can see how much that *doesn't* work.

It used to. You're not reading me right. You've got to right click the preview of the application, not the icon in your task bar. It DOES work.

Im not trolling, Im freaking serious, Why your so Hell Bent on using GUIminer is beyond me, You post about all these GUIminer related issues, And you wont stop using it.
With the amount of (im pretty sure you've got more hardware than me) mining gpu's you have, It would be SO much easier to walk upto a Brand New Comp, and just freaking Double Click cgminer, Bam, Done, Running.
All you need is a configuration file. Wich, nearly every customisable program uses.
