The cgeasy thing won't open for me no matter what I do.

I have the litecoin client set up for solo mining per vorsholk's guide

When I start cgminer I put in

host  http://127.0.0.1:9332

then user from litecoin.conf
then pass

it stalls and just says can't connect.

error is - no servers were found

Have you gotten it working with the public pools? Like Coinotron? That would be the first step, to make sure it's really cgminer and not a problem with your litecoin setup.

That said- are you sure you are running the litecoin server? Has the block chain downloaded fully?

more or less retired.

Block chain had not downloaded fully. I suppose that could be the issue.

Still, how do you configure cgminer to mine scrypt ?

Do you have to create a batch file first ?
