So,

I have a couple gridseed ASIC units I am trying to run on Ubuntu 13.10..

Light comes on... goes to red... then a darker red... then to green and then start over again... each light lasts maybe a second and a half max.

I get this read out when I try running cpuminer but it has been running for hours and no shares have been submitted to any pool I have attempted:

When I try running Cgminer... it says no devices are detected.

What in the hell am I doing wrong haha I have attempted to follow some other threads. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=454127.0

and I have had no luck... it urks my nerves to have money invested in this mining hardware and to see it not hashing for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... SO for that reason lets start the bounty at .05BTC for the person that provides a solution and we will go up from there until these units are hashing for me on a cgminer platform...

Just remember I am attempting to run on Ubuntu 13.10 so detailed steps in command lines would be appreciated.

Thank You,

-Dr Charles.

Posting your config file or command line startup would be a first great step.

I'm not vary familiar with gridseed miners but have you loaded the drivers, tried different port, different wire? Can you try it on a different computer?

If memory serves correctly Gridseed asics were designed to work with BFL-miner.

Hey thanks for the response.

I first run, "ls -la /dev/serial/by-path/" in the mining directory to find the proper port then run.

sudo ./minerd --freq=850 --gc3355=/dev/ttyACM8 --url=stratum+tcp://stratum.scryptguild.com:3333 -u DrCharles_1  -p x -a scrypt

I have also tried:

sudo ./minerd --freq=800 --gc3355=/dev/ttyACM4 --gc3355=/dev/ttyACM1 --gc3355=/dev/ttyACM0 --url=stratum+tcp://us.coinium.org:3340 --userpass=DrCharles.Grid:x

I only have 3 units right now but have several more coming in so i am trying to correct this as soon as possible Smiley

Thank you again for the help.

hey,

yes I have tried with different ports and wires as well as briefly attempting win8. I am fairly new to Ubuntu/linux systems so I am thinking of blaming this issue on that. haha
