It looks like 0.70 isn't even available for Fedora? Ugg. I had no idea that Bitcoin was limited to Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu. I thought it would be available for all Linux distros.
This is not really bitcoins fault. Fedora has disabled ecdsa from its openssl package because of patent fears (and bitcoin needs ecdsa), which
is pretty over the top imho, even debian has this enabled... anyway you could try to run the included binary, afaik this is static linked so maybe
it works (but if it in someway uses fedoras openssl it will fail). Or here:
