Hi . My name is Harsh . I am from India. I am new to the bitcoin industry. I want to know where can I start and How to trade bitcoins. And also I heard botcoin in banned in india? Is it true? If yes how are the rest indians doing it? Please let me know all the possible information that could help me understand bitcoin clearly. Hope I could learn more from all you guys in this forum.

Hi Harsh, I am abhishek . Bitcoin is not yet banned in India. If you want to trade bitcoins you will need to first buy bitcoins from various sources. To know more please check your inbox.

Bitcoin is not banned in India but it's not legalized either. You can trade in bitcoins on ecoin.eu website where you can withdraw the profit via PayPal or other payment processors. Bitcoin is another currency like USD/EUR/INR but the only difference is that it's virtual and not physical. Also, the price is not fixed and sometimes 1 BTC = $300 while now it's worth $283 and hence people trade in bitcoins as it can earn profit just like forex. You can then convert the earned bitcoins into cash via PayPal/Bank Transfer methods.

Bitcoin is definitely not banned in India and it is very legal as long as you use it for legal things. If you use it for illegal things again, your usage or act is illegal, bitcoin has as such nothing to do with it.
