Microsoft doesn't add coins to Azure. Azure is a collection of cloud services that you can buy from Microsoft. You can buy disk space, virtual servers, databases etc etc. You could also buy similar products from Amazon, rackspace, google etc etc etc etc.
To use any of these cloud services like azure/amazon/etc you just need to provide a credit card no.
This does not mean that your hyped up altcoin is promoted by the company that is being paid for what is in effect a virtual pc.
Of course, there are a lot of shifty altcoins out there that say that Microsoft most be supporting them as they are on Azure. You're too smart to fall for that though aren't you?
Agreed and i have said the same all along.
It pisses me off there is guys out there that are misrepresenting a coin using
Azure.
I have kept saying it's basically a hosting service and you can pay to have what ever you want hosted.. simple.
I showed an example of how i had explained this to a guy who was CONSTANTLY hyping up
ETH..
(Before the big pump happened) he kept demanding specifically word for word..
That
Microsoft was "
USING"
Ethereum.
Long story short
Poloniex chat box moderators insulted me then banned me for FUD.
Apparently you are allowed to hang around their constantly lying to lure in victims..
but warning people earns you a ban from chat.
I consider that
grooming their victims.. (
Poloniex has a habit of doing that)
Note the guy i mentioned was saying
IBM was using
Ethereum too.
The reason these deceitful scammers are saying that is to trick people into buying a coin under
false pretenses.
Then when you challenge them on it they scream Troll + FUD.. then the ban's start coming.
I also found it strange someone was so obsessed with
ETH advertising back then.
This guy had made it his life's mission to sit on chat hyping it non stop.
I would go on
Poloniex chat like once a week and he would still be there ..saying the same exact crap.
What i am driving at is it's possible he was
paid to do that.
This is deceitful / dishonest "
marketing" ..it's effectively lying.
And because the Altcoin scene is made up of children or the English impaired or stupid.. it works wonderfully.
Take the launch of "
Prime Coin"
XPM or "
Quark"
Both of those quickly had a flood of users who were "
USING"
Azure for CPU mining.
Was
Microsoft "
USING" those 2 coins ? Of course not.. that is silly nonsense.
But if it gets said enough by scammers people believe it.. case in point the recent
ETH hype.
EDIT:It's been possible in the Altcoin scene to publish a lie for a couple years now.
All you need to do is make sure your lies are
louder than the truth.
